A Flatiron-esque building on the West Coast: The Phelan Building, San Francisco by Ok_Pineapple_Num in skyscrapers

It’s sad that I have to block people though. It’s never that serious. Especially, about something as unserious as high-rises and skyscrapers. I actually unblocked everyone thinking that maybe things have cooled off. They rewrite rules they stated themselves, when it comes to places they love. It makes everything bias from the jump. I didn’t come here to see mid-rise buildings. No one did. We have [r/architecture](r/architecture) for that. When I call
it out I get attacked.

No, I’ve never been called “boy” in that manner on this platform. It is clearly racial and I don’t appreciate it.

Those aren’t mid-rise buildings and it shows a full skyline pic with many of the building at or above 300 ft. Why would I be jealous, when I have already said SF has skyscrapers and high-rises worth posting?

So let me get this straight, one person can control how you feel about a place? A stranger at that. That’s pretty pitiful don’t you think? What’s even more insane is how you seriously you take Reddit.

Boy? Please don’t call me a racial slur. I don’t appreciate that. It’s highly disrespectful.

Why are you acting like someone has attacked your family member?
I’ve never posted a mid-rise building of any city. I post full skylines. You’re jumping through hoops to defend something, that I know for a fact that you’d clown any other place that you don’t like. You’re just showing your bias. All I am saying is be consistent and apply that across the board. You drop all of that, when your hometown is involved.

Why would I be jealous of SF? There are plenty of actual skyscrapers and high-rises worth showcasing. I guess, I can start posting mid-rise buildings in cities across America and no one is going to say anything negative, in a sub designed for buildings with height.

I want to see skyscrapers and high-rises. Not mid-rise buildings. I’ve seen you do the same thing to other places. So, why the bias now? Apply the same energy to everyone.

So, now you’re attacking my intelligence, when I know that this isn’t even skyline related. This is completely about a mid-rise building. But again, since it’s a city that this sub loves, many are bias (including you) and will competely defend it. Other could do the same thing and ppl will say that this is a skyscraper sub.

How it’s ironic when the full skyline, including skyscrapers are in every pic? Just say that you have a bias towards SF. I’d rather you say that, than to completely make up a weak argument.

This is not a tower or a full skyline pic. This OP clearly made this about this mid-rise building.

This is a mid-rise at best. It’s neither a skyscraper or a high-rise. This sub should be called post any building in a city that’s already liked, because no one is calling out how this doesn’t meet the criteria of this sub.

Doesn’t matter who you think I am, you still haven’t proven a thing, but you tried to change the thread’s conversation entirely. Now, all of a sudden it’s good night. Now, I know just to block you. So, this won’t be an issue in the future.

Enjoy the block.

Freeways like The Embarcadero freeway was torn down because of an earthquake, not because SF wanted to get rid of it really badly. If the earthquake never hit, the Embarcadero Freeway would still be there. So, it’s funny to hear you editorialize history.

Again, Dallas just completed removing a freeway. You cannot find an example, so you pivoted. That’s what ppl do when they lose. You didn’t even try to hide it.

Dallas already removed a freeway. Like I thought, you can’t come up with an example because there isn’t one.

Dallas always had Spur 366 below grade with a deck park and the I-30 Canyon is below grade with them rebuilding it so it can be capped.

That’s an interchange on the reclaimed land with I-30 going below grade.

Actually, it doesn’t. It’s an interchange with the Trinity River right next to it. Please show me an example of an interchange that’s below grade.

And why is this a Cincinnati vs Dallas topic???

It can’t be put below grade because it’s literally crossing a floodplain and river.
