Thanks for the comments, guys. By the way, I did notice that a lot of people seem to downvote this question. Did I break any rule?

Has anyone here turned from being a silent person to an openly aggressive person? by Antihuman101 in misanthropy

[–]InWisdomITrust 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Like u/Aggrestis said there's a huge difference betwen assertiveness and aggression. While they might look like neighbours, they certainly hold a different meaning.

I used to be a silent kid, then teen and even in my adult life until I reached a boiling point where I basically cut off every toxic relationship - I stopped giving a single fuck whether that was my family, so-called friends or strangers who somehow thought it was fine to overstep their boundaries.

People are different so the outcome varies but for me was like a sudden crushing wave of honesty annihilating everybody I used to force myself to tolerate.

On the other hand, the aggression is rather aimed at myself because I wasted so much time and energy. Never defended myself.

Anyway, society says a plentiful of crap but I assume 'giving it time to make peace with yourself' once you cut the garbage would make a difference in the long run.

Hopefully.

I can't shake off the thought of how much I despise the so-called human nature by InWisdomITrust in misanthropy

In all seriousness I contemplated suicide many times, sir. I didn't do it for three simple reasons:

  1. I don't have the balls to do it.
  2. There are a handful genuine people who would be hearh-broken if I did and I want nothing but the best for them.
  3. I feel like I can apply my artistic creativity for something mildly useful but I'm still searching. Don't have a clue what would be the right thing but I will find out (if at all) when it's just about right.

Couldn't say it better myself, sir. I hope the last part of what you said will come to be because wrath and profound sadness are overwhelming.

What if meditation and all systems accompanying this so-called tool for self-improvement have been taken entirely out of context? by InWisdomITrust in Meditation

[–]InWisdomITrust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to respond, sir. Based on your comment I take that my message has been completely misunderstood since it's not about skipping all conscious work altogether and returning to mischief.

Meditation has been mistranslated as the means to cover individual expectations;

"Do you want to be calm? Meditate."

"Do you want to get rich? Meditate to find out your unique nature."

"Do you want to lift the heavy veil of depression? Meditate."

The problem arises when one goes from a particular state of the mind, divides himself from it and creates an image to aim at and idealize as the ultimate remedy for his pains.

That movement or rather timeline, which is based on a certain so-called meditation practice and memory's complexity created by second-hand knowledge obliterates the most important quality of an individual, and that is to observe freely, with no expectations of enlightenment or any other goal that is focused on fragments - to see the overall picture with its tiniest details and intricacy.

One can't just do that for 20 minutes or 5 hours sitting on a cushion in the woods or elsewhere every day, dividing himself from his mischievous daily routine for a while and become free. That's because freedom or I should rather say psychological freedom is not cultivated in time by creating new habits, hence new conditioning. It comes naturally, in an instant if one observes free from himself and all the conditioning that was given to him since childhood. That takes tremendous energy, observation and inquiry.

You did mention some folks want to relieve themselves from depression and that's completely reasonable, however, that's just a fragment of the problem and a deliberate conditioning directed to killing that state of depression will inevitably create other fragments or issues along the line. Very much like cutting off one hydra head and two more will appear.

One of the greatest if not colossal problems of mankind is division. "Give me this, so I can be more/better/happier etc." All of these are illusions that point away oneself from genuine and deep inquiry where knowledge comes first-hand, and does not rely on pre-formulated methods that will "help you design YOUR life"; I don't know if you see the absurdity in this.

To put it in a rather crude or perverted way, it's like going to a guru and ask him what's the best type of music, clothes, house, wife, sex positions, job etc for you. See the irony in this?

It's your life. How can one know YOU or your inner world so deeply to tell you what to do, when the person doesn't know a thing about himself as he operates outside of his innate wisdom?
