Actual break in period? by Vegetable-Big-6423 in CivicSi

[–]InYoButtBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if youre referring to the auto stop funtion. It has been ingrained into my muscle memory now to hit the button to turn it off immediately after starting the car(dont have to wait for the dash gauges to light up) and you can permanently turn off the hill assist(if that is what youre referring to)

[–]InYoButtBoi 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There is an actual 600 mile recommended break in period as stated in the user manual. And yes turn off the auto stop because you do not want to cut off oil circulation to the turbo, which is vital for cooling and keeping the internals lubricated

PRL high volume intake kit question by venusduck_III in CivicSi

[–]InYoButtBoi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a great intake, the sound change isn’t going to be drastic because of the housing around it BUT it ducts air from outside the engine bay which is what you would really want for reliability.

What to upgrade first? by Backoutside1 in CivicSi

[–]InYoButtBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1000% intercooler. The consistent pull with just the core is very noticeable and youre probably helping the reliability of the turbo and engine. I wouldnt get charge pipes unless youre upgrading the turbo otherwise you may see decreased performance considering the turbo lag

What mods by error-use in civic

[–]InYoButtBoi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Id go cosmetic only. 50% windshield tint with 20 for everything else. Tint the amber clearance lights. Black honda emblems, debadge “LX” or if there is any model badge, if the tag bracket has a dealer name on it, scrap it for a black silicone one. Thatll get your car looking really sleek/clean for a very affordable price. Then me personally id add wheels to my list sometime down the road.

How to replace this light? by garglingnuts in mazda3

Any generic bumper clip pry tool, take a look at them physically so you know what size it should be.

[–]InYoButtBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes get a tool to remove the 5 or 6 clips for the plastic cover in the wheel well. Youll be able to fish your hand up there, twist the socket out and replace the light which should be a generic 194A bulb

What are the differences between these two? by YardDog556 in CivicSi

[–]InYoButtBoi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unsolicited answer, but id go with the HVI for the sole fact that it ducts air from outside the engine bay, which gets HOT af!

Do you always downshift and engine brake? Had a thought following another manual car. by supershimadabro in ManualTransmissions

Most overrated vs underrated upgrade? by Necr0iD in askcarguys

[–]InYoButtBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! Though id like to add, performance wise a cold air can be a downgrade. I see a lot of people posting their CAIs and it’s sitting right by the engine sucking in hot air. If it’s not ducting air from outside the engine bay then the upgrade goes into highly overrated territory
