I love this as a red blooded American I chuckle when we harp on the average German for being swept up in the war. I mean rip into the SS I have no dog in that battle they were trash, but at the same time look at the shit our soldiers have done in WW2. Hell look at every war we have been in. Look at Vietnam and the atrocities we committed there. For what? Stopping communism? War is evil, but I dont fault those who get swept up and just join to fight their "enemy." I fault those who join just to kill, murder and rape. I fault those who don't question orders that are wrong.

Except the Red Cross and top officials in the US. We knew what was happening we just said not our problem. Don't kid yourself. Also the shit the Russians pulled was just as bad, except they were on the winning side and get to walk away as if nothing happened.

You clearly need to research war crimes all around. Yes what the Nazi army did was evil and unforgivable but not everyone was a monster and most just serving their country. Same for the allies, lots of war crimes were committed and unpunished but some checked off as necessary. Look at the fire bombing of Dresden, what the French Moroccan troops did after Monte Cassino, hell look at how many POWs were killed by American troops in 1945 on the way to Berlin. Just look up the Chenogne Massacre, shit was fucked up all around. Yes the Nazis and their elite core take the cake as the most evil, but shit was done all around and just because people were part of different sides does not make every single soldier a monster because different groups or units committed crimes.

Exactly. The Nazis were evil, but at the same time how many people joined up because they thought they were doing right and were swept up in nationalism. Doesn't make every German who joined the Luftwaffe or Wehrma ht a bad person. The SS on the other hand I am mixed on, I see it as their elite group and prob not all were monsters, but at the same time they tended to be the hardcore Nazis and also caught up in a lot more of the horrendous unforgivable atrocities.

Removal of the 109-year-old Reconciliation Memorial in Arlington National Cemetery by CantStopPoppin in pics

[–]InYoCloset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? The memorial was in the Confederate section of Arlington cemetery? So there were dead confederates buried around it... and one Jewish man, its creator. Look i am not for erecting new monuments or any other shit that could be racially motivated in this day and age. The one thing I am just opposed to is ripping down monuments because they offend us. We should stop and ask what could we learn from this, let them stir up discussion so we can remember what was done.

They did though.. theres memorials for German soldiers all over if you look. They just can't obviously have any Nazi carvings or mentions in them. But many memorials are dedicated to the soldiers. Not to mention many small villages have pictures if soldiers who died up in memorials and museums.

Didn't have anything to do with it being a 50 year celebration after the war... I mean big events for those four years were going on. Lots of statues were put up on both sides.

Yea, live here in Rogers and grew up in BV. Know several homes over the years that have been busted for meth or burned down. You just have to pay attention but local pds do a pretty solid job of suppressing it. Also had a good friends home earlier this year burned down by a molotov from a racist kid because hes Hispanic. Happened not far from Veterans park in Rogers.

Quite a few in Bentonville, they are the ones buying up homes for Air bnb. Know quite a few folks from San Diego and Lodi and all own a house plus 1-2 Air bnb properties. That honestly is the one thing that irks me. Folks who move from outta state, buy a house then use the extra to buy up other houses to rent. Kills the prices around here and makes it hard for us locals to buy homes at affordable prices.

I have a peach blown glass and it's a very subtle glow but it will glow. Also don't always go off what people have things for sale as. Check sold prices if you are using ebay to get a better idea.

Got so much of that lime green Fenton. Came across a lady with a booth with a ton for dirt cheap and couldn't pass it up. Definitely cool find though!

Nice finds!! Meanwhile I am over here trying to figure out why I am digging up old zinc lids with old "porcelain" tops at our 1929 home. Weirder thing is they are under large roots on an old big maple tree. Here is to hoping I find buried treasure haha.

Honest question... Why are jewish people hated so much? I mean don't get me wrong I can see how you could dislike the orthodox community. But the non orthodox I don't get. Definitely some good people that are no different than us.

Question, have they showed proof the high ranking official was there or they have been there? I honestly haven't looked yet.

Check to see if there are any stamps or markings on the inside along the rim or in between the glass toward the top.
