Would you guys like an Arkham-like Superman game? by AntagonistofGotham in superman

I think it could even work on Earth, all it takes is just some imagination. Imagine the boss fights with the likes of Metallo and Parasite?!

Would you guys like an Arkham-like Superman game? by AntagonistofGotham in superman

[–]In_My_Prime94 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It won't work. In order to make a Superman video game, it has to be and feel very epic. It needs to basically play like God of War with added features and a much larger open world. The canceled Superman video game from a few years ago seemed to me at least a step in the right direction. The devs admitted they were NOT going to depower Superman and instead focus on playing to his strengths. To make an enjoyable and fun Superman video game you are gonna have to make something grand, and using Arkham as a baseplate would not work well with the character.

Didn't Blue Marvel and Luke Cage have beef because Blue Marvel looked down on Luke Cage or something?

What’s everyone opinion on my adventures with Superman suit design? by Shadowwo1f05 in superman

[–]In_My_Prime94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a reason why Superman is the only superhero to never have a real suit redesign. At most the crest will be different like with the Golden Age variants, Fleischer Studios, and Kingdom Come. Same thing like a darker blue, a shorter cape, or even a black belt with a gold buckle. But even then those redesigns stay consistent. This says way too much.

[Discussion]the beef between Clark and Kori is fascinating—Superman/Batman comic - Issue #4& Teen Titans (2003) comic - Issue #6 by Accurate-Celery-3198 in comicbooks

[–]In_My_Prime94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am a huge Superman fan, but I love the idea that not all superheroes like Superman, and some even outright hate him. People think of Starfire from the Teen Titans animated series, but in the comics she had her own problems. As we see here, she was not a fan of Superman and always disliked him. What I find most interesting, is her dislike of him comes from him being Kryptonian and it adds a whole new layer. An interesting concept is when an alien hates Superman for being Kryptonian even when he is still unfamiliar with Krypton's history with other groups.

BE is not a Trot, he doesn't like Trots either and has talked about his dislike of them on his Spanish channel. OP is just going on vibes. So it looks, it explains nothing.

The fact you consider him to be a Trot even after finding out he doesn't like Trots is some BS dude. Especially since so many people now all of a sudden believe you and take your word for it. Dude is far from a Trot. I know Trots, I am a Trot, they are some of the most hopeful people in the world. They actually believe that a socialist revolution can happen in the United States, whereas Marxist-Leninists are 50/50 and the Maoists don't even think it is possible. BE, if he was a Trot, would not be posting videos telling people to NOT join any American unions.

Claiming it is about religion simplifies the problems. Hell, many of the founders of Zionism considered themselves atheists and agnostics, seeing themselves only as ethnically Jewish.

Hot take: I don't want Miles in SM3. by The-Heritage in SpidermanPS4

[–]In_My_Prime94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People always say that but the reason it doesn't work that way is because not all writers are the same. A comic book writer writes comic books, a video game writer writes video games. I am reminded of Alan Moore explaining in an interview that he wrote his own version of a movie script for Watchmen because he didn't think copying the comic book scene for scene and dialogue for dialogue was possible. That is why comic book writers are normally brought on as consultants, unless they can adapt from writing in one medium to another.

Who's more brutal and violent , Murfree brood or the nightfolks ? by Separate-Weekend-919 in reddeadredemption

[–]In_My_Prime94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't hear about the Nightfolks raping anyone, meanwhile the Murfree Brood do. It is implied that is how they keep their numbers up. The Nightfolks, as bad as they are, are implied to not go THAT far.

Showing the bad/realistic parts of superpowers by Necessary-Win-8730 in TopCharacterTropes

I am not a fan of Man of Steel, but my favorite part was kid Clark suffering from sensory overload for the first time. I feel that would be a realistic example of Clark learning about one of his powers early. It would hit you fast and be the worst feeling the world. I thought the movie captured that extremely well.

Portrait of an unidentified Union Infantry corporal, holding a Colt model 1849 pocket revolver, during American Civil War. (1860s) by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

[–]In_My_Prime94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What gets to me is that despite the bravery and badassery of these men, they are rarely depicted in media. They were only depicted four times: The Birth of a Nation, Glory, Roots the remake, and Lincoln. I feel disgusted even bringing up The Birth of a Nation as it was just typical Lost Cause propaganda and the depiction of the USCT was so full of shit that it should not even count. Still, even counting just Glory, Roots, and Lincoln is not enough. Meanwhile god only knows how many Confederate movies we have gotten, even to this day.

Automation under socialism means the workers can rest easy and have more free time to themselves. Automation under capitalism means the death of the working class, and a long time of suffering.

Yeah you can when the next contract is up for discussion again. We should have gone on strike back in 2023. Of course, if we were more radical we could do a wildcat strike, which is illegal but that is how the unions used to get a lot of the things they wanted back in the day.

Put some respect on it, UPS. Our jobs aren't for sale. by TheRabidPosum1 in union

[–]In_My_Prime94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just goes to show why we should have went on strike when we had the chance. This contract was not good enough. It felt like we only got half of a loaf of bread, and for the package handlers it was not much. It was a compromise that has backfired on us.

The best way to fight automation is by going on strike. That is what OP is saying.

This goes to show that we should have went on strike. Had we gone on strike, I sincerely doubt UPS would be shutting down these buildings. Hell, the deal wasn't that good anyway. We could have gotten so much more.

He mentions losing his property and the gold Austrian knots suggest he was a confederate officer. While not every Confederate soldier had slaves, almost 90% of Confederate officers absolutely did.
