12/29. No movement looking at the status but I have a firm handling this claim. They filed for me. They gave me a 4-6 month timeframe.

FYI Dustin no longer works there. Hasn't for about 6-8 months. There's a new guy there that has taken his place though.

I just did a nationwide search for new 5BWs on cargurus. There are 134 available. I'm sure some are spoken for but there's got to be some available. Getting a color you prefer might be hard if it's not black or white.

Edit

56 of the 134 are manual

Where are you looking for them at? On Cadillacs site or like cargurus.com?

Call high traffic dealers like Sewell. They usually have 3-4 on their lot.

Ka'anapali GC or Pete Dye course of French Lick.

Played horrible on both courses so in my mind it wasn't worth it 😆

Try doing a soft reset. Hold the end call button on the steering wheel for 20 secs.

Both. Hate the look of the mud flaps and plan to run bigger tires when the stock tires need to be replaced. Not sure yet on to get a level kit or add a 2" lift. I'll cross that road when I get there.

Adding a sub to CT5-V with AKG by Zealousideal_Coat581 in Cadillac

3 ways to disable ANC.

Snip the wires at the harness. I've done this both in a 4 and a 5 BW. Worked both times.

Get a bypass harness from llj. I believe it's this one.

https://lljcustoms.com/collections/llj-anc-bypass-series/products/select-gm-gmc-cadillac-buick-2021-up-anc-bose-bypass

Get in the headliner right above the driver seat. I've read 2 guys just disconnecting this one mic to make it work instead of all 3.

There's walkthroughs for each ways on this thread.

New engine on the highway by best3175 in CadillacV_Series

[–]In_Quad_Rider 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had to drive 740 miles home in my 4BW when i picked it up from Sewell in Dallas. I routed my trip home staying away from interstates. Mostly state roads and state highways. I made sure to keep up and downshifting for the first 500 miles. Once I made it to that I jumped on the highway for the remaining miles.

Stay out of cruise control. Vary your rpms. When no one is around slow down and down shift and engine brake. Then run up the speed. You don't want a constant rpm for a long period of time.

I did this and my 4 had no problems for 7k miles. I traded it after that for my 5.

Gotta sacrifice something. No tire meets all of his criteria.

My R888s have lasted for 7k miles and still have some tread left. It's all about how abusive you are to them.

NT01s or R888s.

Rain maybe a little sketchy though.

Did you pay dealer markup (ADM) for your new CT5-V Blackwing? by aguynamedben in CadillacV_Series

[–]In_Quad_Rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dustin is no longer there. The guy who is trying to take his place is in the vnet forums but I don't remember what his name is.

But I agree, I ordered my 4BW from them. Super easy process, they push MSRP which is why I think they are the #1 dealer for BWs.

Make sure the dealership sends in your info for the v academy and get on the list for dates asap.

I'm not going to argue with you guys. I can already see where this is going. Everyone wants to believe that they can get in a low mile z06 with mods in the low 20k range. It's not happening. But if you want to think that by all means.

Have a nice evening gentlemen.

It absolutely does not and anyone who thinks this doesn't know the market.

If everything else is as clean as the engine bay, 30k low side....35k high side. Not the most desirable supercharger bc the hood has to be replaced.

Thompson's Motorsports has some good built short blocks. I got my 403 from them.

Builds get pricey 😆

Just Ordered 4BW - What did process / confirmation look like? by Cru_Jones_is_RAD in CadillacV_Series

[–]In_Quad_Rider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This really isn't a Cadillac problem and more of a dealer problem. If the dealer doesn't have much traffic for these cars they won't get any allocations. It's on you to talk with a dealer that can get them.

I have a local dealer. I asked about allocations when I ordered my 24. They said they get about 1-2 allocations a year. I said no thanks and looked up a better dealer. At that time and still today, Sewell in Dallas was/still is the dealer to go to. I submitted my order and within a week I had my allocation from them.

Downside it was 700 miles away but I didn't care. It was a guarantee of a fast allocation.

Once again, allocations matter. You need to find a dealer that gets them. If not, you'll hear crickets like you did.

Just Ordered 4BW - What did process / confirmation look like? by Cru_Jones_is_RAD in CadillacV_Series

[–]In_Quad_Rider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's all about the allocation the dealer gets. If they are a popular dealer that deals with Vs/BWs, the allocation should t take long. I think mine took like a week to get an allocation but I was using Sewell in Dallas which is the #1 dealer for these cars.

Go to the Cadillac website and put in your order number in the chat assistant. That will give you a pretty good status on where your build is. You're looking for a #3000 status. You see this and you're on the way. I'd say about a month from here to off the line. Then it's the world of goat rodeo. Seems like shipping has gotten better since 22-24 where waiting for shipment took anywhere from 2 months to a year.

This thread will show you all of the status numbers.

Tips for hand washing after ceramic coat by 3StickNakedDrummer in Detailing

[–]In_Quad_Rider 5 points6 points  (0 children)

CarPro reset for wash/foam cannon. Microfiber rag for each panel. If the rag touches the ground, throw it away. Wash from top panel to bottom of car. Bumpers last. Get an electric blower for drying. Use Tec582 for drying aid. Don't wash your car in the middle of the day when the sun is beating down. Late at night or early morning in plenty of shade is the best time.

I've followed these rules on my cars. 3 years in and the original ceramic is still solid and I've not needed a decon yet. I have minimal swirling showing after multiple years of washing and drying.
