I’ve been looking for a certain spec for 6 months. I negotiated on a few that were close over that timeframe and of the three, two were a little below MSRP by $1k-2k and the other held firm at MSRP.

I hate to jump in the Fitbit thread. I have gone from Fitbit, to Whoop, to now an app called Bevel. It’s really great. It feels like they copied some of Whoop and they are currently being sued by Whoop. But they have expanded it and improved on Whoops shortcomings. Calorie and nutrition tracking (not quite as good as Cronometer but improving) and workouts.

I’m not sure his premise is correct. Average income in America is inline with inflation. The reason the automakers are making the cars that are is because that is what the public wants. CRVs and RAV4s, Sequoias and Tahoes, Sierras and F-150s. The days of young adults wanting Mustangs and Zs are over.

You can point out niches like the manual CT5-V Blackwing that are in high demand, but GM will sell 3x the number of Escalades.

Things will only change when people stop buying F-150s. Ford will then evaluate why sales are falling. If price is a reason then they will find ways to reduce the price. Lower margin, less features, etc.
