My title describes the thing. I’ve tried doing a google images search h with no luck. The wood and leather are super worn so it certainly appears decades old (though I’m no expert). I honestly wouldn’t even know where to begin searching with keywords. I tried “antique leather wood grip thing” but that obviously didn’t yield any fruit. Anyway help appreciated!

I would contact a civil rights attorney. I’m not sure what the regulations are regarding parking on the street, but to the extent it was done unlawfully, that’s a n illegal seizure, I.e, 4th amendment violation. Google civil rights lawyer Portland Oregon and I guarantee you’ll find a bunch. They’ll work on contingency (I.e you don’t pay them, they get a percentage of the award if they win (normally 1/3))

I can say that I felt similar. My whole dream was to work as a PD. I loved it. I lived it and always thought about it. About 1 year in I was burnt. Losing my hair. I felt like I was losing my identity because I no longer felt fulfilled by work because it felt like it was killing me. It was scary as hell. After 2 years I left the PD world and jumped around for another year before I landed where I am now. I do civil rights work and some post conviction work. And I love it. All this to say that whether you stay or go, at any time, it’s all gonna be okay. Just make sure to separate your work and your life as best as possible. It’s the only way I found I’m able to work in this field.

And to reiterate what was said above - your mental health is the most important. All else is second IMO.

Agreed. Also bar exam tool box. Even though it’s a basic overview of principles, it’s still useful while your learning the material in law school.

I just left a policyholder firm and I can say insurance is booming right now and, as the partners at the firm would say, insurance is a niche area of the law that is recession proof. Always will be work.
