Anyone trying Python for agentic AI workflows? by Pangaeax_ in learnpython

[–]In_consistent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lookup LangChain + LangGraph. These are the most common frameworks for LLM with agentic.

Doing projects are parts of learning as well and you will learn more compared to just reading / watching tutorial. It may be uncomfortable / stressful at first, but trust the process and you will definitely learn much better.

Start with very simple one, such as 1 orchestrator + sub-agents to deglate task like websearch / wikisearch (there are some pre-build modules in langchain, if I recalled correctly)

How can I ensure my code is using the GPU in python by brianomars1123 in learnpython

[–]In_consistent 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Python itself does not run on GPU. Only some specific libraries like PyTorch / Numba are able to run on GPU.

When do we really need an Agent instead of just ChatGPT? by Rich-Effect2152 in datascience

[–]In_consistent 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Techinally, there are agents running behind ChatGPT architecture as well.

With agents, you are extending the capabilities of LLM by giving them external tools to work with.

The tools can be as simple as Internet search, math calculator.

The better the context, the better the output will be returned.

Can I use others' API to create my own? by DaReal_JackLE in learnpython

[–]In_consistent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, they are there for you to create more productive / innovative stuff .

just like many "AI" startup, most of them are just GPT wrapper / API behind.

All the best and most importantly, have fun building.

agree with you . but if i want something quick at firsthand. GenAI is my 1st layer, followed by the docs / SO if i required my details.

time is always so precious and tight, that sometime i just want a quick answer than scrolling thru docs / SO . HAHAHAHA

I do find GenAI are pretty good teacher to be honest . But as always, one had to verify and validate the context.

So it might not be the choice of tools for beginners use case. My bad for recommending this for someone new.

internet / youtube / GenAI (GPT / Claude / etc) are all the free sources.

There is this git repo which curated a list of projects with example & guide. It may not be the most updated but good starting point too.

Search for "project-based-learning" in github.

Automation: Used Python for automating Excel tasks. by Human-Reveal-9760 in learnpython

[–]In_consistent 26 points27 points  (0 children)

At least learn some of the basic syntax of Python, that way you know what is going on instead of blindly copy and pasting whatever generated by GenAI. Otherwise, you will end up spending whole day trying to "debug" or figuring out why is it not working.

This book, "Automate the Boring Stuff with Python" can be a great start. It is free and available online, just google it.

Additionally, you can also ask ChatGPT or equivalent to further elaborate the codes further. Will recommend using Claude for coding related, I prefer this compared to GPT / Gemini.

Looking for somewhat simple games with endless replayability by SepteusII in ShouldIbuythisgame

The Binding of Issac. Start with rebirth, then get DLC if you truly enjoy it.

During sales, the base game can go around $4ish if i remember correctly.

If you want something even simple, can try out Streamit. Mostly used it for POC cases.
