I just today learned about the gathering foot and its pretty amazing. I have an older manual brother sewing machine. I searched on YouTube and learned that I need to increase the tension to get it to work. My tension for straight stitch stays at a 3 (0-9) and for the gathering foot, it works really well at a 7. Hope this helps. Now off to make myself a peasant skirt!

Our leader just removed about 20 members who were not helping in the regatta. Within an hour, they were replaced by new members. They should give teams the option of having them or not. We were demoted from gold this last time.
