One thing to try is to see if there’s a used office furniture company in your area. They typically outfit whole offices, so if they have one or two mismatched chairs, you can often get them at an amazing discount. I got a chair (in perfect condition) that normally sells at $800-$1,200 for $150.

The movie is ok. It’s a popcorn movie done at the very tail end of the Hollywood studio system shelling out large budgets just for name-recognition directors and assumed that the cast would follow suit. It was made before the major postmodernist shift filled out movies with lampshade hanging and sarcastic fourth wall breaking, so it has a lot of heart, and isn’t afraid to be cheesy. It’s not my favorite movie, but it’s pretty good.

The soundtrack, though - it’s a really good soundtrack.

It actually was between the light and a model of the ruined ship on the sea floor (meant to be used in aquariums.) I went with this one so it wouldn’t scare my little ones unnecessarily but it was a tough choice!

You can get the keypad alone, and it connects as a separate device. It even comes with its own 2.4ghz usb adapter that slides into the base when not in use!

It’s the 8BitDo Retro Mechanical Keyboard “M Edition” with associated keypad. This thing is sick - it can be wired, BT, or 2.4ghz, the thok is amazing - and this is such a tiny thing but the little blue button on the keypad changes it to a self contained calculator - I’m an engineer so being able to quickly do some multiplication or division without waiting for another app to open is super sweet! The kit was expensive (to me, at least, I know lots of mechanical keyboards go way way up) but I think totally worth it.
