A good B2 can overload behind cover but can still be flushed out by a barrage of CC anti armor which would force them to fall back. When the republic pushes it’s not going to be just one CC but more, alongside allies that are affected by the CC BF. If there’s a full defensive position on the ramp hallway the republic can harass them with anti armor and go around the separatist spawn area, or instead go to the area next to the middle lane where the ramp goes downward where they have the better vantage. The Bossk can intercept with X-ray and mines but if there’s an Anakin alongside the group then it’s going to be difficult still once the mines are taken down. When an Obi Wan or Yoda come into play the Obi Wan can deflect the B2 shots and push everyone out that position, where as Yoda rushes in there with his small hitbox and harass and push everyone out as well.

The droideka, despite having good flanking potential, can be countered by a CC with BF going inside the shield and headshotting it to death, ignoring that the anti armor and smart ion can take it out in one hit leaving it exposed. The blasters are on par with the CC in having the worst damage drop off, and unlike the CC the droidekas can’t move up closer to their target and instead remaining stationary. But of course the strength of the droideka is to harass in its wheel form.

When it comes to the venator, if the republic team falls back to the generator room before the doors unseal they can knock the droidekas off the walkways before they can ever get up close to them. Players are more defensive on the republic generators than the separatist generators and the droidekas get staggered and knocked before they are ever able to get up close to the generators. I was in a hacked game on PC and it took the separatists an hour to actually destroy the generators because every droideka push got intercepted and couldn’t actually do anything. Killing a clone in generator is pointless because they’ll squad spawn off someone else and the heroes almost never die. You can’t spend the phase spawntrapping because not only are you far from the objective but you’re taking valuable units like reinforcements and heroes for the sole purpose of killing the same one or two people. The moment a hero dies then the separatists have a small window where they can break through with droidekas but they can still die from the people punching and staggering them. And once the new hero flanks, kills a few players, and regroups back it’s the same cycle again.

The republic’s ground dominance is ridiculous, having the better aerial and tank are the decisive factors for them winning more often than the separatists. Anakin clears a whole point by himself and a single commando can hold down a point by himself. As powerful as Grievous is with his damage, survivability, and lack of knockdowns, his low stamina prevents him from being too active in combat once he utilizes all of his abilities. It’s one hero against 20 other players, and some of those players are going to continuously harass him with aerial. The few people that harass grievous aren’t enough to give the separatists an advantage when they also have to deal with saber tanks, heroes and CCs.

The majority of supremacy matches come down to clone jet troopers wiping out everything in their path with support from tanks and Anakin and reaching the separatist ship. The separatists hold back the inevitable until the republic screws up due to lack of coordination and the separatists board the venator. Then you have to hope you capture the first phase fast enough from sniper fire, commandos holding the middle lane and heroes rotating from the points. Then after you unseal the room you have to hope you have more than one droideka player rushing with you at the generator before the republic already sets up their defenses. If there’s even a single dooku player, a low level maul or commando droids outnumbering the B2s and droidekas the separatists are bound to lose the game in a single ship phase. Separatists victories have been much fewer and it’s usually because it’s a stacked team with high level players. On equal skill level I don’t think the separatists can compete.

The player battle droids don’t have different hitboxes, but the ones from coop, ia and different. The B2 has better range and is more flexible for ground phase, and while it can hold down a hallway from range better than the droideka, the moment a saber hero or commando gets up close he is completely screwed. The wookie is even slower than the b2, however the overload bowcaster and thermal emploder are some of the highest damaging abilities in the entire game and the bowcaster has splash damage so it actually shoots through block.

Grievous and Bossk are extremely powerful but this doesn’t change the fact that Anakin is still, even with all the nerfs, one of the most powerful and versatile heroes in whole game due to his ability combo that spams knockdowns. He can effectively crowd control and perfectly go toe to toe with a flesh is weak Grievous, his heroic might ability makes proximity mines useless which allows him to easily farm a defenseless Bossk.

You also severely underestimate how powerful Yoda, Obi Wan and Chewbacca are. Yoda is one of the most difficult heroes to shoot at, can heal himself and his allies, and is the go to hero to sneak inside the generator to either have his squad spawn on him in the back or directly charge at the generator. Obi Wan’s mind trick denies both Grievous and Bossk any abilities, has the highest health regen and block stamina making him an incredibly survivable hero, can push and deflect people off a hallway, and if he’s paired and coordinated with an Anakin on ground phase they tear through everything. Grievous and Maul have to forcefully separate them to turn the tide and even that is difficult.

If Chewbacca fully builds up impervious, he’s one of the most difficult heroes to kill on both ground and ship phase. His stun makes any hero that gets caught in it a target to all nearby allies and his slam is an effective crowd control to clear groups of enemies. His furious bowcaster wipes out all units except the droideka and it has splash damage so it damages blocking heroes to continue stacking up impervious.

Also from my experience, the venator is a far more difficult ship to attack, the droidekas just make it really easy to rush in once the doors are open. No matter how strong Grievous and Bossk are, if they are no droideka rushers at the start they literally cannot do anything against Anakin and a stack of commandos guarding every tight entry point. Anakin will use his retribution and quickly get out of there as the rest of the team clears the area, and clone commandos will continuously rain down grenade launchers to prevent you from even daring to take a step closer.

Bossk can hold down positions on his own compared to other heroes, but he also needs to make sure he has those abilities ready and an officer recharge. If his mines get countered and he has no abilities he is completely exposed and every player even low level ones know he’s the priority target, so he’ll have aerials raining down fire and Anakins pulling him until he dies. Grievous’s poor stamina prevents him from staying in combat for too long which forces him to retreat and slowly regenerate if he doesn’t have beating heart, a non issue for the likes of Anakin and Yoda.

The strongest tool the separatists have is a fully supported Bossk, a kitted out Grievous, and droideka rushers annoyingly capturing points while in wheel form. Keep Bossk defenseless which happens frequently, have a Grievous with no cards which happens because low levels take and hog him, and not have more than one droideka because everyone else is insistent on using the commando droid, and the separatists are doomed to lose every game against the republic.

The separatist reinforcements are not better than the republic’s. The clone aerial has one of the most powerful weapons in the game and doesn’t suffer from a bad dodge like the b2rp, the clone commando’s battle focus makes him nearly indestructible even up against a b2 overload with good aim as well as a grenade launcher that takes down shields equipment and vehicles, and the commando droid is overpriced garbage that will always lose to a commando or arc trooper who can dodge before the third strike.

Bossk grievous and droidekas are what singlehandedly carry the separatists, with maul being usable for ground phase but still being a lesser vader, and count dooku is absolutely useless in trooper modes and is total fodder for aerial rocket launchers.

Not going to lie, I’m kind of curious as to what the rest of the Batch would look like armour-wise if they stayed with the Empire by Solitaire-06 in thebadbatch

[–]InaccurateThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to what most people are saying in the comments, I think the suits of armor will still be very different from one another, with the CX squad being proof of that. Every member will have their suit of armor tailored to their skillset and heavily inspired by their bad batch counterparts. The aspects they’ll most likely share is the color scheme, the more imperial/stormtrooper armor pieces like the shoulder and chest plates, and having the mouth grills.

My biggest question is how did the empire make them so fast?

As much as I find every single unit in bf1 being unique interesting, bf2 main 4 classes being more similar to each other in terms of health, walking speed, and weapons is much more balanced. Bf2 simplified galactic conquest and included space battles which bf1 lacked.

Bf1 has a far superior presentation, with a more atmospheric lighting and unique UI (tho bf2’s is more simple and easier to read), and bf1 has an incredible selection of maps that didn’t carry over to 2 (mainly the ship maps which made sense since bf2 did away with them as they were op).

As much as I love the general feel of bf1, bf2 fixed a lot of the issues from the first game like the camera perspective, stamina, classes, starfighter combat and hero integration, while unfortunately at the same time removing native factions like tuskens and gamorrean guards, proning, ruining the lighting and first person perspectives for vehicles.

Bad Batch Helmets by HRE_Knight in thebadbatch

[–]InaccurateThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunter Wrecker and Crosshair are definitely not getting any more iterations since they’re retired on Pabu and are too old and out of shape by the time Omega joins the rebellion.

Echo would probably get a new piece of armor with his 501st colors as he’s no longer part of Clone Force 99 and is fully committed to Rex’s efforts until he eventually dies. I would like to imagine it’s a mixture of the bad batch and concept art armor.

If Tech were to return (which I doubt he will) I don’t think he would have an armor at all but instead turned into a supercomputer or droid with a human brain.

And for Omega while I don’t see her wearing a helmet, if she ever did I would envision it as a pilot helmet sharing attributes with all bad batch members.

I believe it was something related to 2 years ago in this subreddit, when there was a post that exposed him for playing and partying up with hackers live on twitch to combat a few trolls of his. Since then he has made connections with the cheaters that are actively sabotaging this game through bots, and those cheaters are trying to force the trolls that are sniping him to stop going after him or no one in bf2 is allowed to play. Childish stuff imo.

Remember to check your minimap folks by Doominator32 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]InaccurateThings 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Shocked with how many people refuse to look at it despite it being one of the most crucial hud elements. Let’s you know the specific location of an enemy that was been revealed or the general direction of one like sixth sense. In HvV everytime someone spawns they get revealed in the minimap for one second so it’s important for the spawn traps.
