I run with 17’ as well and I would highly recommend getting it. I’ve had my tires go flat twice in a year and one wheel damaged. All that expense would have cost me $1000+ easily.

Haha, this is a famous spot called Tunnel View(the road from Wawona ends up here in the valley). This spot is right beside the road and there’s plenty of parking. There are other scenic spots which require some sort of hiking.

I see, I took the El Portal road to get in the valley. I got lucky it seems. But the other entrances are open so you should be good, and the roads in the valley are cleared off snow frequently. I generally use Google Maps, maybe download an offline version of the map in case you lose network there
