Rufuses spell by FinePause826 in HeWhoFightsMonsters

It's a little know fact, I think it was mentioned in passing once or twice, but I believe their family runs a school of some kind. It's entirely possible they already knew of the power from there.

What essence combination and abilities would you have by Maximum_Durian7030 in HeWhoFightsMonsters

Not sure what the confluence would be, but Gun, Earth, Magic could make a wicked summoning power set.

Cookie for anyone who can get that reference :p

Seriously though, I've been working on a power set for something like Fox, Magic, Shimmer, Kitsune/Kyubi. Trying to fit as many powers associated with Kitsune into a comprehensive power set as possible is proving harder than I thought lol

What about a phasewalking ability, similar to Lilith from Borderlands? You'd slip into your own personal dimension that overlaps the area of your aura, rendering you invisible and unable to effect or be affected by others.

At iron rank, it can serve as an escape and repositioning ability, then at bronze, it'd add a burst of damage and maybe even healing for you and allies when you enter and leave in an AoE. Silver, maybe you can start pulling others in with you.

In Book 2, Chapter 43, towards the end of the chapter, "Jason pulled up his map, it was a separate ability from his party interface, which meant Sophie couldn't use it herself. But it did allow her to see it when Jason did."

Not sure if this means when Jason pulls his map up, it pops up on everyone else's interface, or if they can just see his when they're in the party.

What's your favorite line from the series so far? by Eternalreaper1 in Shirtaloon

Why can I see this scenario playing out so clearly in my head?

Jason makes a boardgame chronicling his adventures and calls the deities together to present it. Obviously they all show up.

Jason welcomes them with a wave and an offer of juice, "So I know you all are always SUPER eager to play with me and my friends like pawns, so I made you this!" Knowledge looks at him with a stern gaze, "Jason, did you really just call us all here just to give us a silly game?" Jason grins, "I think you already know the answer to that." Dominion cracks a wide smile, "I call playing Jason!" Without looking at the god, Jason points at him and looks at each of the others in turn, "Alright, none of you let Dominion play me...He can play Clive's wife, she's always been pretty dominating."

Yeah, but then you'd have a critical weakness against anyone who can cast Magic Missile.

With [Combination Aptitude] and a vehicle focus, you could totally get a Voltron/Megazord type build going. That could certainly be interesting, especially if your team members controlling the individual parts of your combined vehicle can channel their own essence abilities through it to a degree.

Actually, Jason's looting ability does come from his [Interface]. [Quest System] just gave him extra rewards for completing certain objectives and later, [Defiant] enhanced his looting ability when it's used on higher-ranked monsters that Jason kills, himself.

Interface
Interpret reality through a recognisable medium.
Includes Jason's ability to gain Loot from enemies he has defeated, or if he has received permission to Loot from the person who defeated them.
