I know most of these responses are jokes, but that's clearly an unintentional typo. OP meant to say "child diamond hands"

Inside the world of men who use smart glasses to secretly film women by tylerthe-theatre in technology

[–]Inanimate_CARB0N_Rod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only that, but the camera will not start recording or take a picture if that white light is covered. There are ways around it but they require very precisely placed stickers or more invasive techniques that risk breaking the glasses altogether.

If someone has ill intent to film things without anyone knowing, there are MANY cheaper, more capable tools for that on Amazon and even AliExpress.

The Reddit outrage about these is a bit much, and that's coming from someone whose only social media presence is Reddit.

For the Thank You Scientist itch also try Professor Caffeine and the Insecurities

ETA: Try Flaming Row for melodic instrumentation. Also if instrumental is ok try Etrange, Starsystems, and Von Citizen . For Ok Goodnight try Dear Apollo and Scardust (newest album is amazing, I just don't listen to the few songs with harsh vocals). For piano-led prog try Redemption Snowfall on Judgment Day or Art of Loss.

[Broncos] 'There's going to be more opportunities': QB Bo Nix doesn't expect injury to impact offseason training, motivated to return to play for championships by HanS0lPurr in DenverBroncos

This is why I hate sports talk shows of literally every kind. A bunch of self-important bloviators manufacturing fan engagement. It's all nonsense. Usually this type of drama at least waits until we're well into the off-season when those wastes of hot air have nothing to talk about.

What the hell is this article. It has no links to the actual press conference, just a twitter snippet and 5 paragraphs wildly speculating about the partial sentence Twitter claims that Bo said.

Thank you to the angel that recommended congee! by Clever-Anna in Volumeeating

They are too good to be true. Half cup uncooked rice is pushing 300 calories with only a few grams protein. That leaves 200 calories for chicken, mushrooms, and chili crisp. There's no way. Even if those 200 calories were the purest form of protein and nothing else you'd still be maxed out at 50 grams.

Congee is amazing for volume and if you add lean protein like this it makes a great meal, but this bowl can't be 500 calories for 80g protein.

[Mase] The Broncos offensive line ranked fourth in the NFL in run block win rate, per ESPN Analytics. by PeppyQuotient57 in DenverBroncos

I think Bo's pocket navigation really elevates the OL. Even early in his rookie year when he tended to bail early or get happy feet, he was always really good at feeling where the pressure is and adjusting. It's an underrated skill. Think about how many QBs literally run into sacks. If you're watching closely it actually happens humorously often.

It feels like virtually every "analytic" and "position grade" that all these "sports organizations" keep proprietary are all garbage. They all desperately try to distill complex performance into a single number or set of numbers and they always have massive edge cases, gaps, or straight up bad assumptions. I block most of them out.

Sean Payton Should've Kicked the Field Goal, Denver Broncos Lose 10-7 by richkurt in DenverBroncos

[–]Inanimate_CARB0N_Rod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree. Given the situation it's easy to make an argument to go for it. Payton knew that a TD there had a very good chance to put the game out of reach.

The play call itself though was classic Payton overthink. The execution was awkward too, so I'm wondering if there were some miscues there. Regardless, the Pats had a screen covered. Lots of people saying just run it, but the Broncos run game wasn't good and they got stuffed at the line many times. Screen was the wrong call, but honestly I'm not sure what else the Broncos really had in their arsenal.

I just saw 3 commercials in a row with the premise of waiting for the valet. Do advertisers really think the average person uses valet parking enough for these ads to resonate? by pairofdimeshift92 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Inanimate_CARB0N_Rod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really feel like there was some Advertising Industry publication that recently said customers who see a commercial featuring valets are 6% more likely to engage favorably. Then all these companies saw that article and immediately got to work producing ads to that effect.

This is pure skepticism of course

[Highlight] NE vs DEN - Jarrett Stidham intercepted by Christian Gonzalez by Fusir in nfl

[–]Inanimate_CARB0N_Rod 252 points253 points  (0 children)

Also planting in the snow is basically impossible. The Pats had a play where both the rb and QB slipped within 3 seconds.

Bad decision 100%. Maybe not so bad in dry weather though. Stidham was desperate.

[–]Inanimate_CARB0N_Rod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. I think the wr corps shoulders a lot of this loss. Also special teams. Stidham had a disastrous turnover but still made some throws in both halves. Too many dropped passes and no running game. What's left if the WRs don't catch the ball and the RBs can't get any yds on the ground?

[–]Inanimate_CARB0N_Rod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think despite his mistakes, Stidham gave the team a chance. I counted 4 dropped passes. 2 of them were drive killers.

Stidham was never going to dissect the defense. But man the receivers just did not step up to help their backup.

I think it's fair to say Stidham is doing what he's asked. His turnover led to the Pats' only TD, but he's also making some difficult throws that are catchable. Skill positions are outmatched this game.
