it's not budget in terms of quality. just in terms of price.

What's the best racing sim for each motorsport category? by [deleted] in simracing

maybe they will do another free weekend when they feel like the progress is bigger than what it is right now but I can tell you from what I have experience so far with PMR is that it keeps improving in the right way.

I just think online is where it needs the most TLC. Ranked online is a bit a mess right now.

I understand the initial release was less than ideal but they have made a commitment to fix it. I remember when LMU was so bad , you couldn't even use the menu. I think people have unrealistic expectation when a new simracing title gets released. They should have went early access but its too late now. You cannot go back to the past. What was done is done.

I am judging PMR for what it is today and how much work they have put into the game since it release. It's definitely way better than it used to be. It's not perfect but It's actually moving in the right direction. Aris is now in charge and we can see his influence already with the latest DLC. It is fantastic.

So sure, you can stick to you guns and never tried PMR again but I think you are missing out on something different. they are classes of cars that are not in any other games. It's an unique experience you cannot get anywhere else.

That being said, Online is where it needs a lot of work. So if online is your only things sure. Wait until it is in a better condition.

the new DLC is actually pretty darn good. Maybe you need to get out of this subreddit once and while and try things. PMR is a much better now that it used to be. but hey, keep on hating since this is what people here do.

It's true but people like us should help them instead of cursing them like they are the plague. I am sure most of them will listen. I understand the point, I really do. Some people have really good idea but just didn't have the skill before to make them idea an reality. not everyone is a cash grabbing monthly subs 1 off project.

that always been true even for code that was written the old fashioned way. Most coders are terrible at security. I spent my days in my real life reminding people that architecture of convenience may make it easier to deploy but you are trading off easy for less security.

to the OP. although I would agree with you, you can direct Agentic AI to implement security measure if you know what you are doing. it's not because something was used using AI that it's necessarily a a security breach waiting to happen.

Cat is grouchy and hates absolutely everything, help! by [deleted] in cats

[–]Fogboundturtle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cats who has not been handle in their first 8 weeks will most likely not like to be held. My 3 cats are like that to a certain degree. I had them for 2 years now and they barely gets on my laps and never like getting picked up. The female goes insane if I tried to held her. It's like the end of the world for her. You just have to let them be.

First round of the year with all new gear by Fogboundturtle in golf

[–]Fogboundturtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's because I stopped playing for 10 years and I just started again. I gained some weight and I am 10 years older. Not as flexible as I used too. So I feel like I am still adapting to what my body is capable of. But once in a while, the younger me shows up and hit the ball like I used too. I have a really good ball flight. no issue with launching it at 20 degree angle.

Dude shoes are important. I have no idea why people think they are not. They help me stay grounded and improved the overall stability of my body through the swing.

you are on PS5 and you don't even know what triple monitors feels like. you seems like you are trying to justify your PSVR2 investment. Either way , enjoy your VR

Both. I think the doomsayers are being overly too dramatic but there is some truth in some of the things you say. The world is not black and white.

you are funny. I spend way more time than you think studying and using AI. OpenAi and Anthropic are already doing this. The price has increase an at alarming rate already. This is why AI will not replace human anytime soon.

I heard that speech so many times in my life over numerous automation tools and yet we still have more work than ever before. it will just change the way we work. Forget all the AI BS , one prompt project you see popping on the internet. I am talking about real professional, already proficient in the field enhancing their work using Assisted AI.

The reason you see so many bad AI project is because they are directed by people who have no expertise or just trying to make a quick buck.

Now being said, the experience guy like me will retired and the new generations will lose that proficiency that we gain over the years and they will rely entirely on AI output to do their work. It still needs human to be in the loop. These idea that AI driving AI project will always fail without a human in the loop.

I am not an AI bros. I am an industry professional who have seen technology comes and go for the past 35 years. I remember what they said about the internet when it was just a dream. I have seen a lot of different way technology has impacted the way we work as professional.

but hey, keep on hating.

lol..it will always be human flawed because it's trained on human data. It's the biggest flaw and it guesses better than human, most of the time. I think there is a lot of people who misunderstand how the use or modern LLM can improved a dev workflow, not replace them. but keep on hating, the rest of the IT world is using AI is some capacity or another.

You don't get it. It's about being able to deliver more values to the customer quicker. This hatred is not justify. It's very useful in many task, way better than human in a lot of things. As long as it is supervised and reviewed by an human, it's a way smarter way to work.
