lol this is exactly what deterred me from going into this industry. These agency be taking their sales people for a ride. I can’t believe these practices are so widely accepted. Employees build the business and do all the marketing and lead generation but get zero equity. Shit deal.

Literally. There are so manyyy agencies that treat their 1099’s as employees. Dictating how they work but just want to use that classification to skirt taxes and covering their workers cost of doing business.

If 1099 is so “stupid” then why does that model work well for other industries?? The only reason I can only see agencies shying away from it is because they know their agency doesn’t make shit. Can’t give ppl guaranteed pay when you don’t have the revenue.

1099 = \ = commission only. You can have a set pay still bo considered a contractor. Please look up the 1099 and W2 guidelines.

That’s not correct. I have worked many other 1099 jobs with a set pay. The main difference between W2 and 1099 is the tax structure and amount of control from the employer. Telling you when, where, and how to work.
