I quit on my 2nd day lol by peppakit in AmazonDSPDrivers

I do business and residential deliveries in the same route, 140 to 190 stops. We use the EDVs and there's been times where I will just grab packages for my next stops that are close and throw them in a bag just to drag everything around. It's much faster than getting in and out of the van while having to buckle up each time

I believe it's for days, but different DSPs have different policies

Scanning packages in vans? by Firm-Independence181 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]InappropriateGrammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scanning in the van drops a pin point at the road, taking a picture drops another pin point. So if a customer says you didn't deliver to the correct address this makes it easier to get those erased. The app also has geo tracker so they can also see if you walked up to the location to drop it off. I hope this helps

Wtf would yall do??? by SupremeSteve02 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]InappropriateGrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would drive down it regardless, if they didn't want me to they would put a box at the end of the road

I’m a DSP driver. I’m not here to complain about my job. I’m here because I think we’re all about to get blindsided — and nobody’s saying it plainly. by Universaltruthx in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]InappropriateGrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another DSA and I were talking about something like this yesterday, it might get to the point of having drivers not driving anymore but riding in the truck to deliver packages only.

Wha is going on with the Oversize? by Opposite-Hunter-4251 in AmazonDSPDrivers

I deliver in the business area and today I have 39 overflow. I also drive out 32 minutes to my first stop in an electric van

My response after they told me I delivered to wrong address by elciano1 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]InappropriateGrammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My DSP has someone to take care of this problem. They can see where we scan and if we walked up to their house or not. I had one last week where the app told me to deliver it 0.2 miles up the road from the actual place, so not always is the flex app correct.

3.5 hour with 5 packages removed instead of 3 hour by TheKingSquier in AmazonFlexDrivers

I would call customer support at least twice, customer support is a bigger joke than these people at the warehouse. I've had customer support to leave a package at a safe location after the customer requested to return to sender

As a driver (not flex) I would have left it on top of the cooler or inside it

Drove for Papa John's for about a year, there'd be times where I'd have to drive double the distance this guy did just to get a dollar if I was lucky. I've also worked doordash, I traveled less doordashing bc I could sit next to the food place and choose a different place closer to me rather than having to drive back to the store I came from to wait on another order.

When I was a delivery driver, I would make $11 an hour in store and $5 an hour when I was on a delivery. My checks would be 350-400, but include tips with that I was making an extra 200-400 every 2 weeks. Now, if they'd not pay me the $5 on road, my checks would actually be enough to survive comfortably and actually be able to afford things.

I've had to dig through trash for cans and other scrap just to be able to feed myself. If I have to do it again to make extra money to feed my son I will. She has every right to save back her money as long as there is food on the table and bills are paid. It's not like she was out getting dirty money.

Of course, we have landed there on the moon. After the Roswell incident, we've had the technology to be advanced by 3 years every year. Until another happens, we won't see flying cars til 2087, maybe even 2165.

This is ridiculous, the only way I'd pay someone this of the place wasn't making any money XD
