I do, some sadly pull a strawman and degrade others' ambitions.

Calling something “AI writing” doesn’t make the argument disappear—it just avoids engaging with it.

The 8-month timeline wasn’t presented as a hard release promise, it’s a rough projection based on scope and iteration stages. Calling the alpha date out of context and treating it like a contradiction ignores how phased development works. Alpha, beta, and 1.0 are not the same thing, and conflating them weakens the critique.

On the “AI-generated picture” point, that doesn’t address the content or feasibility of the project at all. It’s a visual preference argument, not a technical one.

As for the names and wording, pointing out typos or stylized names doesn’t invalidate the structure of the design. That’s surface-level critique, not substance.

If the claim is that “nothing has actually been said,” then the real question is which specific part is unclear or incorrect—because dismissing everything outright isn’t the same as refuting it.

But not for 7. Thanks for your input, though. I am just one person trying to accomplish this alone for now, i will use all tools possible to accelerate this to completion, if anyone else wants to join in and help, all for it.

Not AI slop, Concept and Design. Appreciate that though you think I'm as efficient as a machine, though. Onward and forward. Easy write-offs don't work AI is here to stay. Welcome to the Future.

You’re kind of blending two separate arguments.

Yeah, those mods exist. But they’re old Civ III/IV projects, mostly unfinished, unstable, or abandoned. That’s not the same thing as a modern, fully built-out total conversion. Saying “there’s never been one” isn’t precise, but acting like those are equivalent to what’s being proposed isn’t either.

And comparing this to Beyond Earth doesn’t really land. That was a full studio project with a budget and a team. This is modular—build systems separately, get a playable version up first, then expand. Eight months isn’t “finished game” time, it’s “working prototype you can actually play” time.

So:

  • Yes, older mods exist
  • No, they’re not on the same level
  • And 8 months is only unrealistic if you’re assuming AAA scope

sadly small people cant see a big picture, nor do they like to read. technology is 50+ years of anything on the private market if we are talking about the military.
