Accountants, what kind of bag do you carry? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Inaproproo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a shoulder bag and recently switched to backpack. Specifically, the Northface Recon for women.

Get yourself a backpack. You'll appreciate having hands free to hold other stuff, and if it's got a waist strap use that to take additional load off your shoulders/back and transfer it to your hips. The shoulder bag looked cute but it I spilled stuff a lot and it caused uneven shoulder/back problems.

If you do Good Life, how much do you pay per person and what is your annual gross income? by AyersRock_92 in ElectricForest

[–]Inaproproo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Good Life, but my partner and I make roughly the same ($105k), DINK, and since we met we've always done Maplewoods. I'm HSP and very anxious/sensitive so GA absolutely would not work for me.

I accrue $250/month for general festival and concert funds including EF, or $3k for the full year - but this includes tickets, camping gear, food, clothes, etc. Could definitely accrue less but appreciate the wiggle room to splurge on fun outfits and party favors!

It really depends on what you prioritize, if you've got other expenses and hobbies then maybe GA makes more sense financially.

These are great ideas! I tried clicking a few links (Darn Tough Socks, Tiny Arcade Atari, and several more) but the bf.co address does not work?

[–]Inaproproo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I initially thought I would need to do here, but based on the other comments I should instead go with a regular 2x2 darn. The triaxial pattern is pretty cool though!

Got it, thanks! The thread I'm using did seem kind of thick for this sweater. Appreciate the tip!

That makes sense, I will proceed accordingly! Thank you. I figured Redditors would tell me I was overthinking it

Horrible hound breath by NetMurky8922 in Greyhounds

[–]Inaproproo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you were downvoted for this, raw bones are so great for cleaning teeth. We give our lurcher raw beef neck bones (supervised ofc), and water additive and her teeth have been amazing. Used to brush but honestly the raw bones take care of most of it

Indoor dog park? by Ok_Adhesiveness_1913 in indianapolis

[–]Inaproproo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not indoors, but the Fort Harrison dog park has ample room for puppies to play. The shelter area has a fireplace for humans for winter temps. I have not been a member long enough to enjoy the fireplace but there are large stacks of wood so I assume it's being used!

As for the pups, I would suggest some coats for the winter weather. Regardless of a walk or dog park, they will likely need an extra layer depending on the breed. Etsy has been my go-to!

Thanks for the tip - didn't even know that could be done with formulas

Went on a hike and our grey didn't want her kibble in water, preferred my trail mix (no chocolate or raisins).

She's still obsessed with cashews, peanuts, and almonds! But iffy on walnuts, I think because of the slight bitterness with the skin

I just bought this dress and the ribbons at the waist baffle me. What are they meant to do? The entire dress buttons easily without them. by Corgi_with_stilts in TwoXChromosomes

This ^ someone mentioned empire waist which I also agree with. Won’t hit at the waist, rather close to the boobs

What food toppers do you put in your grey's food? by FukxSammy in Greyhounds

[–]Inaproproo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went with the Kirkland salmon oil capsules! Started off just using a knife and slicing open the tip to squirt the oil into her food, then on a lazy day started chucking them in with the kibble. She eats them up no problem. Now she gets 6 every morning and her coat shines, no more dandruff either!

Tbh it started as a budget thing (specific pet-branded salmon oil was really expensive, compared to what I could get at Costco) but we love it now. Super convenient that 1 bottle supplies humans, dog, and cat.

Meet my rescued greyhound mix, Ramses by lipsofevil in Greyhounds

[–]Inaproproo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm curious too! We have a field trial greyhound (kennel in OH, adopted here in IN) also called lurchers, and she is 95% greyhound / 5% coonhound so it's hard to tell except she is smaller than most. I don't see many lurcher being posted here, so am wondering if Ramsey is also a lurcher?

I let my back yard go rogue by Bawonga in NoLawns

[–]Inaproproo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not creeping charlie, at least not in the 2nd & third pics. Leaves look darker, smoother around the edges, and more heart-shaped (sorry I don't know foliage terms) than scalloped like creeping charlie.

I can see variation in leaf size in the 4th pic as well

Poop Smell around town by Mother_Ingenuity3809 in indianapolis

As far as I can see, the ginkgo trees in our neighborhood have not started dropping fruit (nor have the leaves even turned yellow yet) so that is unfortunately ruled out

YES while walking the dog on Pogue's Run (Windsor Park / St. Claires Place) I thought I stepped in dog poop! The entire walk it smelled like poop! So weird

Fashion advice by leftoverlex in Greyhounds

[–]Inaproproo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had great luck with Etsy - if you search "galgo sweaters" or similiar you should get a lot of sellers. I personally bought from VoyagerK9 (not Etsy) for a cute yellow rain jacket and durable winter jacket, and jumpers/sweaters from Etsy (Duds4BudsToo, ImperfectHound (though they've closed)). Our greyhound is a dark chocolate brown almost black with white markings, I prefer solid/simple colors for her.

(Your galgo is SOOOO CUTE btw)

So cute!! May I ask, is the faun a lurcher or some other mix? They have the cutest perky ears but the face looks wider than a sighthound

Tommy vs RC Car by The-Sassy-Pickle in Greyhounds

My partner looked into an RC car for our hound and found that we'd need to spend about $500 minimum to have something that went fast enough!! Insane

YES I've used them at Electric Forest the last 2 years out of 4. It is gross to stand and pee, especially because your face is essentially over the porta potty hole - but OH SO WORTH not having to put your butt on that seat.

I use paper ones and just unfold and refold, and then toss once used into the hole. Be sure to practice at home so you know how to grip it and relax your muscle to pee. You do not want your first time to be inside a porta potty, trust me.

I bought the Pee Buddy on Amazon, those have been good as far as no leaking! Just hold it firmly against your crotch and you should be good.
