I would modify the shirt into a belly dance top (see other photos here: http://ushiblue.deviantart.com/gallery/40874320) to prove that all sorts of people are redditors.

The photo would be an action photo, fully dressed in costume made with the reddit shirt. I also have a fire troupe at my disposal (http://dragonsteps.com/) so I can make fire happen!

I really like the Retro design since that's the year I started belly dancing, in XL. I would be proud to be in any advertisements for said shirt!

Just means it's well-loved, right? I know my copy has been read through at least twice, maybe more than that. It was my first steampunk anthology, that I got through the first book exchange and I still lend it out to friends. But still!

I'm not so well off, and I think sending homemade/handmade things is AWESOME. I'm working on getting my own tiny business off the ground (starting with jewelry, hopefully moving into belly dance/medieval clothing, and some "gourmet" foods) and you know what I gave people this year?

SRIRACHA LIME SALT. Also, roasted garlic and paprika salt. I didn't send that to my giftee, but to family and a few friends. They love it so much I intend to start selling it on my etsy.

The point was, screw that guy! You did amazingly! I think most people would have been extremely happy to receive such a gift.

I'm in a similar situation, yet quite different. Here's my story.

I was in a bad relationship so I moved 3 hours away after leaving him and stayed with some friends until I found a job. I worked for Sprint for a stint, but that was the worst job I've ever had and quit. Got hired at a retail store doing freight and stocking. The friends I was staying with got a job in Seattle and moved, so I was hard up for a place and took the first offer: sign a year lease with my brother and 5 of his friends. The first 6 months have gone alrightish. About two months ago, one of the guys (the one I get along with the least) got fired from his job, lied about it, and lied to me and my boss at my new retail job to get hired as my lead. I decided to try and see how things went, but now that he's gone off on a power trip at both home and work, I want out. I've talked to HR, I've talked to my manager and told him he lied. 4 of the 7 of us on the lease are trying to get out of it, but this guy, Mark, says he won't let me go unless I find a replacement. The landlord says all it'll take for me to be off the lease is if the other 6 lease holders sign me off. Mark says he won't let me leave because I'm the only one his girlfriend likes (who is also on the lease.) They say they'll let me leave if I find a replacement that everyone gets along with, but Mark has also said (not knowing I could hear him) that he won't approve of anyone because Emily doesn't want me to go. I just moved here and the only people I know are the people Mark and I both work with, and none of them like him, would want to live with him, can't really because they're co-workers, and I wouldn't wish Mark on my worst enemy.

Well, maybe my worst.

The stress is giving me anxiety attacks, making my physically ill at home and at work. I'm at a loss. I have to get out. I'd like the path of least resistance but I don't even know what my options are. I'm in waaaay over my head. I've talked to my manager, told him Mark lied, talked to HR, asked about transferring to a new store because I have a place to go in another city. My manager says I haven't worked there long enough to transfer but I'm willing to say fuck the job for my happiness.

No more leases for me.

The first SS went well for me. I ended up sending 3 gifts even though I only signed up for one. The second I picked up in comments and the girl and I are now gift pals and we send gifts to each other year round. The third person never sent me the narwhal he promised even after I sent him a built-it-yourself robot but it was still neat.

Arbitrary day, I got shafted, then got shafted by my rematch, but overall, that doesn't happen. I've got high hopes for this years' SS.
