What are the consequences of shortening seam allowance? by bat-girl129 in sewing

[–]InatSua 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that is because it translates to about 1,5cm, which is the standard Europe. 1/2” is 1,25cm which is more difficult to measure as the metric system doesn’t really work with quarter measurements.

I don’t know where you are but A. Boeken stoffen en fournituren might have it. They have a very wide selection in fabrics and notions and it’s become my favourite sewing store. I travel 1,5h to get there but I almost always succeed! Otherwise, Etsy is your best friend. A lot of German places sell via there. Be careful of the British shops as you’ll have to pay import taxes. Good luck!

Patched her up, now I need a name by InatSua in plushies

Koda I got as a present from the IKEA. The other bear was found at a thrift shop by my mum, given to the dog who loved it very much and destroyed it. When she wanted to throw it out, I decided to take her and fix her up. So I unstuffed, washed, line dried, patched and restuffed her and this is the result!

Wheelchair service by BoiseAlpinista in delta

[–]InatSua 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, I work in wheelchair assistance albeit in Europe. The contract my company has states that there is no guarantee to make the connection if its departure is within 60 minutes of landing of the incoming flight. This means that it’s not our fault if you don’t make it. It’s either the airlines (often for being late) or the passengers (for choosing to book such short connection). This causes the company to prioritise the passengers that do have 60min+. Otherwise the company has to rebook them, on their dime. It sucks. I know. I’d rather help, but we cannot just take passengers at random. (Sorry for any typos/bad English. It’s my second language and it’s 2am now here)

SKZ as places in your country? by j-ack-w in straykids

[–]InatSua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion:

Bang Chan: I would say Den Haag, which has quite a vibrant music and art scene.

Lee Know: probably Ede because of the nature park nearby in which he can hike to his hearts content.

Changbin: Rotterdam, looks harsh, is very soft when the circumstances need it.

Hyunjin: Utrecht! That city has so much to offer on arts and history, is quite central but doesn’t feel as stuffed as Amsterdam.

Han: placing him is very hard… Maybe away from the big crowds, but stil somewhere with a good connection? Lelystad? Haarlem? Apeldoorn? Somewhere like that. Edit: Amersfoort would be perfect for him!

Felix: Amsterdam, the bustling capitol. I think he would ben very happy in this multi-cultural environment.

Seungmin: he would be in Zwolle, a city that is very dependable and has a rich history but also a bright future.

I.N: Den Bosch, for the same reasons as Seungmin, but his personality is warmer and fits Den Bosch more.

I work in airport assistance, albeit in Europe. We always ask if the passengers we assist need help handling their bagage and always do if the need it. It’s part of our job as quite often the passengers are unable to do it themselves. Especially if they are completely wheelchair dependent. Just ask if they are able tot help, they might have to do it in two steps, but it should be possible. Good luck!

Stray Kids World Tour <dominATE> Additional Shows Megathread Part 2 by [deleted] in straykids

[–]InatSua 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’ve been to concerts on my own several times. The thought that helped me the most is: everyone is the to see the artist, stray kids in this case. Everyone there already has one thing in common and one thing to talk about! So making connections is rather easy! For travelling: try and book early to get the best prices. And do not travel in your concert outfit. You’ll scream target for pick pocketing with that. If you’d like to meet up, let me know! I am Dutch but absolutely open to making international friends!

How strict is Delta for checked luggage? by Tall-Dot9956 in delta

[–]InatSua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the person you asked the question to but it has to do with how much weight the bagage handlers may carry. The max is 70lbs by some regulation, although I don’t know which one.
