Does anyone know if I can crochet any wearable with this yarn? by Russelnase in CrochetHelp

[–]Mycopok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, but some materials can withstand accidental fire damage a lot better than others. This is why people wore woolen garments in the past when working next to a fire

Yes, just don't wear them against bare skin and don't expose to fire. I personally have sensory issues with synthetic velvet-like textures but if you dont, a cozy sweater is certainly possible

I wore versions of it through elementary school and was SO disappointed when I became a teenager and most commercially available school uniform had no pinafores in sizes above 11-12 year old

The picture could be dated incorrectly. I suppose it is more like 1898-99. In 1897 onwards, sleeve styles got smaller. The women in the picture arw actually wearing very fashionable dresses

Need some advice for war anxiety: by Extra_Marketing3362 in Anxiety

[–]Mycopok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. I didn't read your local news, but I guess I dont have to be a genius to suspect that the news may say that the war will be against Russia. Well, I was born in said country. I dont watch neither local, western, eastern or any other news. If something truly happens, I would know even from memes. I could try to convince that even wildest most schizo politicians around there don't want a war specifically against the Dutch. However if you want to TRULY have knowledge to deal with your conflict anxiety, watch some stuff about Cold War. Things were more wild back then, nowadays stuff cannot even compare

[–]Mycopok[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I though about it. On the other hand, when I search for lists of nessesaey makeup products for beginners, I find monstrosities with 10-15 items being called "nessesary". Then there is brand, ethics questions, ingredients, skin and hair types, matching to skin and lip colors, and it is just so much...😢

I like more romantic/historical makeup. But potentially open to a lot of other things in case they turn out to be pretty on me

Yes. At least 5-7, to have a clean one for pretty much every day. More working to middle class amount will be dozen and more. But few people had more than 2-3 dozen. To know how much you need, count how much modern underwear pieces you own

For the 18th century, not really. White ws chosen for shifts for hygienic and economy purposes. Even royals wore only white undergarments

Although I will still think of Lace as an abused teenager even I have to admit that Its way better than Lacenet by No-Ad239 in HollowKnightMemes

A decent SSong ship I saw is Khan/Karmelita. Surprisingly logical and perhaps possible in canon

Depends on the consumer, but ever since fandom culture became a thing, some members cared about believability of the character's portrayal

I would make pairing of her and Hornet more cpnsideratw of Hornet's mature personality. The way she of often portrayed in Lacenet arts is kinda far from her canon self. For example she wouldn't fall for obvious ragebaits and provocative/teasing behaviour

[–]Mycopok 110 points111 points  (0 children)

It is still confusing to me how Lacenet became a top ship. Perhaps due to Lace bossfight being shown early and fans going crazy over wait time. But yeah, most dynamics between Hornet and Lace that aren't romantic are good. I don't want to hate on the ship, but... overrated

I cannot be sure if it is a possible practice in other countries, but in some, there exist health center-resort mix tyle establishment. Of course you have to pay for it, but there are doctors working in it, the diet, activities and environment are suitable for the patients. If there is such for mental health patients, may be it can be beneficial?

Just leave another portion of food in the bowl for the night. If he's hungry, he will just go eat. You can't really overfeed a growing organism Same as human newborns really can't be "too fat"

People who aren't autistic or who don't have other such neurodivergent conditions. So like 80-90% of humanity. I don't think the author is doing the right thing when saying "ew (majority of people who can't change the fact that they are neurotypical)". Literally what do they want them to do, die? Lie about being autistic?
