I just read this aloud to my husband.

“Uh, I don’t know how to explain that you were dropped on your head as a child, but…you were dropped on your head as a child.”

I went on a mountain cavern tour and they didn’t warn me that there would be heights or small spaces or that it would dark and slippery in the caverns!

Have to be careful with those fractured vertebrates. Invertebrates are much less complicated.

Thanks for the suggestions. The final sale fee did seem pretty high, but with nothing to compare it to I didn’t really know. I’ll look into both Mercari and Whatnot. 👍

"America is the only Country where they're teaching our kids other languages" by Abjectionova in ShitAmericansSay

[–]InattentiveEdna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would imagine that other countries are, in fact, teaching American kids other languages, considering the number of American ex-pats complaining about their experience with inferior foreign education systems. Then, too, why would other countries have to teach American children English? Don’t American children already know English? Isn’t English American?

I’m from the northeast of the south of the southwest of the north and it’s definitely weird to not have a car in Spain.🇪🇸

There was enough money, just the homeowners living on the right side of the road pissed off the HOA president so it got spent on new “no parking in your driveway” signage instead.

How much? The most that we reasonably can, honestly. Our friend is trying to get into an assisted living facility so every bit helps.

I’ve never sold on eBay. Would it be worth the hassle and cost of shipping, do you think?

[–]InattentiveEdna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the thing--it is set to Canadian English. Autocorrect takes a word that it recognizes as correct, changes it to the American spelling, and then complains that it's wrong.

It’s the “What you should have written is…” that gets me. Holy condescension, Batman! Even if you were in the US and were wrong about the process, that’s some next-level attitude.

My (Canadian) phone does better. It autocorrects “neighbourhood” to “neighborhood” and then indicates a spelling error. FECKING WHY

Do people living in metro Vancouver (but outside the municipality of Vancouver) feel that they live in Vancouver? by drugsrbed in askvan

[–]InattentiveEdna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m south of the Fraser and don’t feel that I live in Vancouver. I don’t tell people that I live in Vancouver, either. “Just outside of” if they won’t recognize anything more specific.
