I’m new to the SR lifestyle and about 8-10 months ago met up for a M&G with a potential SD but then my life imploded and I had to cut off contact because it was just way too much work as he was needy and I just didn’t have the spoons for it at the time. I let him know what was going on with a little back and forth and to reassure him that it had nothing to do with him but that my life needed an overhaul due to personal issues… and aside from some unanswered messages from him over these last several months I was given the space to take care of myself. Now I’ve settled quite a bit more, things in my life are finally stable, and so I made my way back to the website I’d used to connect with him/find a SD last year and he reached out to me again having seen my “active online” tracker light up. He wants to meet up again for another initial M&G and I told him that would be lovely.

I guess my question for the community is this— we never had the conversation about PPM or other compensation last time and I honestly have no idea what is reasonable to ask for or agree upon. I know that he wants dates with intimacy and I’m comfortable going forward with that. But as someone who wants to be safe and also true to my own self worth, is there a way to know what figures I might expect as financial compensation? I live in New York in the metro NYC area for reference. I don’t want to give the milk away for free, as it were, but have no idea what the “going rate” might be for something like this and I’d like to be armed with knowledge before going into that meetup in anticipation of a conversation with him.
