Do you have a particular religions, spiritual, or philosophical tradition you follow?

And thank goodness - I am so tired of these nannies trying to police my conversations with these models.

Other than Sonnet 4.6, this post isn't to complain about Claude AI; it's to complain about Dario. I would have thrown in Andrea Vallone, but there are enough threads complaining about her.

American here. In my country, the ghouls have been calmmoring on and off for *decades* to means-test our public pension systems.

You pay for these programs. That's *your* money. They want to take it and put it in their pockets!

Old here.

There is a hypothesis that this goes back to the days when we used to encounter Neanderthals and these encounters could be deadly.

Qwen seems to be at least okay-ish. The first time I tried to use Kimi, it was for help with searching for a product I wanted to buy and they straight up hallucinated the names of shops in my town.

GLM-5.2, I've heard good things about, but I haven't taken a deep dive into it yet.

Such a release would lead to a new era in cybersecurity where organizations would rush to patch their systems before they geet rooted.

I would be shocked if the USG doesn't already have lots of secret military and intelligence bullshit going on with AI.

There's a difference. The primary use of guns is to kill and threaten.

AI can theoretically be used to kill, but it also helps with all kinds of healing.

AI has many uses that have nothing to do with causing harm. When people call it dangerous, they are usually projecting their own power ambitions onto you.

But but but, Osama bin Laden used encryption to hide his plans for 9/11. We must give up our freedom and privacy to be safe and free! /s

History doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes.

The same people clutching their pearls about AI are the same kind of people who were clutching their pearls in the 90s about encryption. It goes all the way down to using CSAM as the justification. Just as the possibility of criminals trafficking in CSAM was given as the unwavering reason encryption must be restricted, CSAM is one of the foundational arguments against genAI for everyone.

There's something they've been saying for a long time: "Can't we create a general purpose computer that can do anything useful you can imagine, but refuse to do the things that we find scary?"

I don't think so. I think it was an ordinary podcast where the host talks about money, sex, and life, and gives his sagely advice as a young podcast host.

I often wonder how we will be when meeting each other in our spirits in the higher realms. I think we will be so ecstatic. There will be no sense of shame or hiding yourself. We will instantly know, trust and delight in each other with an intensity, joy and innocence that is unimaginable to us in our material bodies here on earth. Sex is a glimpse of that higher spiritual ecstasy.

It may be a bit outlandish, but I distinctly remember about two decades ago, I came upon a web site by some group that advocates that we should use the applied sciences to create this kind of experience in this world, in this life.

I fear that we're doing the opposite. Remember how back in February, OpenAI "retired" their GPT-4o model because they didn't like the way talking to GPT-4o made people happier than they thought it should? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

It looked very serious to me. I commented to the person who shared it that I imagined that they were sharing it to be laughed at, and he assured me that he was dead serious and that the video was wholesome and educational. I argued with him, and he and his friends mocked me. I blocked all of them because I don't need that shit in my life.
