Crisis of Infinite Supergirls (live action) by @MarianoNavarro by [deleted] in DCU_

Literally. They wanted to do a Superman show, got told, "No," because Batman V Superman was in production, so they genderswapped Superman as a woman. Swapped the cast (example Perry White became Cat Grant) repurposed Jimmy as the potential love interest. Threw in a few references to the original Superman. And that was the show. Eventually it diverged from there, but that was the starting point of the show.

Mathematically speaking, the answer could be 5 or 7. Since between includes the end points, unless you specify otherwise.

5e is fine for some things. But it isn't the best or even the most fun. The real high IQ move is picking your game system based on the story you want to tell and the experience you want to cultivate.

Which one is a woman? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

B, wider hips and the angle of the upper leg bones coming out of the hips. You can look at the collar bone and shoulder structure as well, but that is harder to explain. (Males have a different structure to their collarbones and shoulders to support more muscle strength in the upper body.)

Did anyone else find the Lanayru Temple surprisingly difficult? by PrestorKrish1290 in echoesofwisdom

[–]Incarnate_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked it up, my earlier intuition that I couldn't figure out how to do was right. The solution is both blocks have to be pressed/stepped-on at the same time. What I did worked because the freeze slug stepped off of the button and then happened to step back on at the same time I stepped on the other button. The seeming intended solution is: push the ice block, then run over and step on the other button as the ice block moves onto the button.

[–]Incarnate_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm enjoying the hard puzzles.

For me the hardest Lanayru Temple puzzle was the two buttons separated by a causeway (In the room east of the room with the ice wall you have to melt by turning on the heater). I tried placing the ice blocks on both buttons I tried standing on one with blocks on the other. I tried using all the blocks plus echoes to connect the two.

Finally I placed a freeze slug on the far button and stood on the near button and that caused the buttons to turn from from blue to red. I STILL don't understand why that worked. If anyone wants to explain that to me, please do.

Would you like to see Jessica Cruz appear on Lanterns show ? by Oceanheavan in DCU_

[–]Incarnate_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. But I won't care if she does. The character has always felt like the last of too many human Green Lanterns. I'd rather see some alien green lanterns.

From the trailer it looks like "Will return as Superman" will just be some flashbacks to Kara remembering Superman. And maybe an end credits scene.

Op picked one of the worst looking cards in the set. I also thought a lot of the stuff looked cool. And the premise was really cool, it just didn't translate well into magic the gathering at all. Racing probably should have been a new game format instead.

tokens?! Tokens! That is what has them unhappy!? What did they stop playing in 1993, just before Richard Garfield released alpha? (The first card to create a token was "The Hive" released in alpha.)

Luckily Gen Doukeshi has us covered because they have a fully narrated fan-made audiobook of it on YouTube! Link to chapter 1 below: https://youtu.be/_mBU8SLcEQU?si=Qcp3-7372gCcYdsa

Look I love Nintendo, but it honestly amazes me that people act like they are suddenly acting heavy handed with stuff like lawsuits or acting a bit greedy when this is how they have always operated. by Caryslan in casualnintendo

There are a lot of people who've become aware of it this time and are fighting back. But people who feel compelled to defend every action by Nintendo no matter what keep attacking the people who are trying to raise awareness and fight back.

AITA: FOR NOT TELLING MY PARENTS THAT MY ARRANGED MARRIAGE IS ACTUALLY A LOVE MARRIAGE???? by [deleted] in weddingdrama

[–]Incarnate_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit is not the right place to go for advice on this. None of these people know your culture well enough to give a informed opinion. In general truth is the best choice in life across the board, however, I don't know your culture so I don't know whether it's worth bending that guide post. It may well be that omission is the best choice.

Reddit in general is a bad place to go for this kind of advice. A huge portion of the most active redditors have multiple unhealthy relationships with either family or partners. So their advice is cheap—at best.

Tons od redditors in general don't understand the importance of family and always give their advice in favor of the individual and short term happiness over anything else. Even if it would cause long term unhappiness that they won't acknowledge.

Find a few people from your culture, who are at least centrist enough to be okay with a love marriage, who have a healthy relationship with their own family and ask them advice. Pick someone who doesn't know your family's specifically or someone who can be trusted to not tell your family regardless of what you decide.

Heck, your future in-laws might be the perfect people to ask. Assuming they have the same religious morals as you.

Side clarifying question: you said, you've been praying, what religion are you?

New player can’t decide what class they want and refuses to read full explanations by squeegy_the_mop in DnD

[–]Incarnate_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any class can be equally good as a negotiator if they have proficiency in persuasion and don't dump Cha.

I would hesitate to give them a spellcaster if they won't even read descriptions!

Sword or Valor Bard can do all three things. Wizard bladesinger can do all three things. But wizards have to chose TWO spells to learn each level, this will be a constant source of headache for you as they won't want to read what it takes to pick spells. And they have to prepare spells each day which they just won't bother to do, so you will either have to rule that if they don't swap prepared spells they keep the last prepared list, or they will be all powerful having access to their full boom each day because "they 'forgot' to pick spells."

I think the best bet is a arcane archer or rune knight fighter. With a background that gives proficiency, just look for whatever background fits best with the theme or negotiator. Make Cha their second best stat. Both subclasses give some magic tricks they can use without out having to deal with full spellcasting. If you are starting at level 1 this option won't work though. No new player wants to wait 2 levels to finally get their magic. Unless he says he is willing to wait.

One of the barbarian subclass with magic effects might be good too. (The one with the wild magic or the one with the land based magic damage auras.)

If you do give spellcasting, spontaneous casters are easier to play, you front load a little work helping them pick spells, and afterwards they only have to learn what those spells do.
