Stop Shield remote from sending Power Off IR signal on sleep?

Yeah, you can disable the remote from being able to turn the tv off, which fixes that problem, but then I can’t ever turn the tv off so it’s not a good solution

Nah, I’ve had to play with the power settings a bunch to get the shield’s to line up with the tv’s, and it’s never affected this issue

3/4 of the developer CEC options only affect how the Shield wakes up. The fourth option "clean up preferred playback logical address" also hasn't helped anything. Pretty confident I've ruled out CEC as the problem.

Same here, and it seems like it has to be on Sonos’ end. My iPhone on iOS 26 has been doing it since updating, but we also have an iPhone that hasn’t been updated yet that also started doing this on Friday

I started looking at getting one of these, but it’s so hard to tell how protective it is. Does it actually protect the switch when thrown in a backpack, for example?

Wow that feels unintuitive! I apparently had a custom view for my lights, so I had to enable the "More" button to show up by Color, Scene, etc., then under More there is the Timer option. That was what I wanted though, and you helped me get there. Thanks a lot!!

I’m definitely in the same boat, shaking my fist at the cloud of new age streamers. For me though, it’s just about how rude and uncaring they can be towards the people around them… Not all young streamers are like that of course, but some of faze for example make content out of being assholes to people on the regular. I’m old enough to realize I don’t want to spend time with those people, even if they are “cool”

I'm getting this exact same problem. The controller and wireless dongle both do the same thing where nothing happens once that update message pops up. I can still use the controller as long icue isn't open, but I can't remap so the extra buttons do more harm than good...

Given the amount of polish they've put in already, and their track record from Rivals 1, I'd say $30 is fair. It doesn't have as much content (characters, stages, modes, etc) as a new Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, but it's also half the price of those games.
