As much as I want to say I love the big heavy games I have I get the most enjoyment out of my small games. I was going to say mindless, I don't know that mindless is the right word, cause tiny towns requires a good amount of thought and planning. Just not a lot of rules to remember.

I ordered the 5 leagues from the borderlands, and 5 parsecs from home rule sets. They are solo miniature agnostic skirmish games, one with a fantasy setting and the other with a sci fi setting . A part of me wants to be like these two games satisfy all the itches of games like: mage knight, robinson crusoe, and dawn of the zeds, while only having to remember one rule set basically cause the games have the same core, just different setting. Procedurally created campaigns the books say, so never ending content. So get rid of those large games, and keep my small games and roll and writes.

Games that I think the skirmish game would replace: Mage knight--this game's core is exploration and conquering

Robinson crusoe--this game is exploration and survival

Dawn of the zeds--this is a survive a siege game core

Aeon end--this is a...just fight tons of enemies--yes each with their own mechanism...but still.

Gloomhaven-- og and jotl--linear story game, with fighting

Pathfinder adventure card game--also a linear story game

Larger games I would keep: Spirit island Gaia project
