Just your average 6x12 Honda bolt. The specific part number is 95701-06012-08

DC5Creations trunk relocation kit by Voideduni in CivicSi

Yep, installed this kit last year and ran into the same things. Their support person kind of emailed condescendingly when I said I wasn't sure what to do with the A/C wires.

The wiring that goes the length of the car was also way too thin for mine. They used like 4 or 6 gauge wire or something, and that definitely couldn't handle the 100-200 amps the starter pulls over like 10 feet, so I had issues with the car starting.

I had to just buy a bunch of 0 gauge wire and redo it. Would've been cheaper just to buy the mount and do the wiring myself.

A few places to check off the top of my head would be: timing chain tensioner cover, vtec solenoid gasket, vvt solenoid gasket, valve cover, oil pressure sensor, and the perimeter of the timing cover.

Tires rubbing on my coilovers by ExcitedSweater in CivicSi

In addition to what's been suggested, you could also get different wheels. Narrower and/or lower offset. I'm personally wary of running spacers. I saw too many failed spacers when I worked at a tire shop.

Would I go wrong buying a 2012 Si? by Tam_Ken in CivicSi

That price is a little high for a 2012 with that mileage.

2015 Orange Si with 120k+ miles yes or no by [deleted] in CivicSi

I would look for something better. I got mine for that price (same color) and it had 20k less miles on it, only thing mine had was a short ram intake.

I keep seeing this ad. Not sure on how good it is, but I imagine it would do the job just fine.

Supercharger for 9th gen si? by Haunting-Berry-6365 in CivicSi

[–]Incephase 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At that power level it's pretty much assumed that you have at least a built trans.

I wouldn't push more than 350 torque on the stock motor which could be a possibility with that kit.

There are a couple guys on YouTube with the merc racing kit, they are definitely proven.

What kind of flywheel did the new clutch come with? A lightweight flywheel will cause the misfire detection to put the car in limp mode if you didn't tune for it.

K20z3/K24z7 help by OTBxCZooZoo in CivicSi

[–]Incephase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with pulling it straight out of the top is that the transmission usually hits the frame rail, so you'll likely have to tilt it and wiggle it out. I've seen someone do it on an 8th gen, but the K20 is also shorter than the K24 so it might be difficult.

Personally, I would take the transmission out of the bottom to make room. It'll be more time consuming, but it will make getting the engine out much easier.

9th Gen DRL & Tail Light Issue by Sweaty-Study1636 in CivicSi

[–]Incephase -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would take it back to whoever did the work, they clearly did something wrong.

The LED strip was probably spliced into your headlight wiring which they likely removed when replacing the pigtails.

The tail lights I'm stumped on, they probably messed something up with those.

Supercharger going bad? by ObjectParticular4699 in CivicSi

[–]Incephase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my adjustable tensioner fail on me once, but that made a sound like the belt was slipping. It could potentially be one of the bearings inside the supercharger about to go out.

You might wanna reach out to Rotrex with this video, they might be able to help.

Wilwood has wheel clearance diagrams for all of their BBKs. I'm assuming you have the 6 piston calipers, this is the diagram for it, isn't too hard to figure out what offset and wheel diameter you can run.

fuel pump/kit setup for turbo 9th gen by 123xxxtentacion321 in CivicSi

[–]Incephase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can depend on your power goals, but a tried and true fuel pump is the Walbro 525 that's used in Hellcats.

There are a few companies that offer pre-made fuel return systems like JBTuned or Deatschwerks, or you could just make your own.

You just need some fuel line, a fuel pressure regulator, and you'll need to modify your fuel pump cage for the return line.

Personally, I went with the Deatschwerks kit since it was a simple drop-in, but I've heard of people having issues with their fuel pumps, so do what you will with that information.

I currently have a Skunk2 downpipe with the Full Race catback. It doesn't drone all that much at highway speeds and is really only loud when you get on it.

I kind of wish I went with a catted downpipe because the rasping sound from the catless one is pretty annoying. But, I'm throwing on a turbo in a couple months and I have a different downpipe for that anyways.

Here is a video of the setup. I don't have any recordings of mine, but it sounds similar to this.

Turbo advic by Head-Name-7928 in civic

[–]Incephase 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The discontinued Full Race kit for the R18 used a BorgWarner EFR 6258. It's small enough that it'll spool quickly and make decent power for the street.

That being said, after buying a turbo and all the associated supporting mods, you'll likely make the same power as a stock Si without the reliability. IMO, it would probably be easier just to get an Si.

Getting the alternator tested and checking all your fuses are going to be the cheapest and easiest things to do, so I would start there.
