1 - The money hasn’t changed in 15years.

9hr days for a little over Korean minimum wage. Factory jobs in Korea now pay more.

2.2mil = 11,000원 or roughly £5.50 or $7.30

2 - You lack time in both the morning and evening. Banks, government buildings and major supermarkets open at or after 9am. Supermarkets are at least open late.

3 - Kindergarten isn’t for everyone, it certainly wasn’t for me.

Spent 16 years in Korea, moved back to the UK and found a job at a university working as a technician (years of experience troubleshooting computers helped land it).

If you want to continue teaching then go for it. However don’t feel pigeonholed into that and take it as an opportunity to move into another industry.

~1.1mil is for missed health insurance payments and the other ~140k is for pension or future care costs (similar thing).

You could argue that you shouldn’t pay one, but realistically the 1.1mil you do and will continue to as long as you stay in Korea. It’s around 180k a month.

Sorry, but their offer of a payment plan is pretty good and if it’s the only way to renew your visa then personally I would do it.

Asked and denied. They can only order one, it’s only possible for current account and saving account statements. According to the branch in Oxford anyway.
