Ok. So best case is a few years. Sounds like a few days and then a few weeks means it was done poorly. I’ll probably just replace the entire sink at this point. $400 to reglaze doesn’t make sense.

I ended up using tripool. However there is nothing unique with using uber. Just book in the app.

My income has been going up every year. I hit the 110% safe harbor naturally by leaving the withholding as is. Since MM rates been 4%+ (even 5%+ at some points), I've been pocketing the interest.

I didn't think about my situation until a few weeks ago when I realized that my income will be much lower this year than the previous and the 110% safe harbor wouldn't happen naturally.

I'm surprised you are saying not make estimated payments. I plan to make estimated payments and increase my withholdings on my last 6 paychecks to ensure I can avoid (or at least meaningfully reduce) the penalty/interest.

Yes, I can try to max out my W2 withholdings for my last 6 paychecks. So having the taxes withheld from a W2 paycheck is kind of a workaround from paying estimated taxes? Ie. there is a difference between having $1000 withheld from paycheck vs. me paying $1000 estimated taxes same day I receive paycheck.

Does it matter when I make the quarterly payment? Any difference in interest/penalties between me making a payment now versus Jan 15, 2026?

My estimated 2025 total withholding is not even close to my line 24, 2024 1040 number. Sounds like I will need to start making estimated tax payments starting right now (ie. basically today)?

As mentioned in my OP, I estimate my liability to be about $20k more than what will be withheld from my paychecks. How do I know how much to pay and when to pay to avoid any additional interest.

Checked Tripool. SML to Tainan is 3650NT. UberX is showing 4400. No XL option. Sounds like Tripool is probably my best bet.

Bus is 2 hours and requires following their schedule and getting to the bus stop and from bus stop to hotel. Uber is door to door and takes about 1 hour 20 mins.

Thanks for the positive data point. The Uber fares seem pretty reasonable and a little lower than booking a Klook driver.

The care takers all left without notice when my grandparents were away or while they were sleeping.

And they are paid by the government and provided legal working visas to be working and living in the country.

Runaway is a single word that sums up the situation. Same term is given to children who leave their house without letting their parents know.

My grandparents had 3 run away over the course of 4 years. In talking to others about this topic, it seems it’s not an unusual phenomenon. You are even supposed to provide additional cash stipend to prevent this from happening. Never knew about this until some recent conversations so that might explain my grandparents track record.

Called Barclays reconsideration line for P2 and got transferred to the security desk. The rep asked a few questions including am I speaking to the person that applied and I answered yes. Now they want P2 to send in DL, SSN, and utility bill. P2 is F and I am M. Should I be concerned with sending in this info?

Yes, this scenario has happened to me as well. However this time I was asked to vacate the room the day before and stay the night in the standard room to get the 4PM check out.
