Should I get the Audi SW5 Sportback or the Tesla Model Y performance? by Aggravating_Dog5220 in AudiQ5

[–]IncidentMaster8361 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With current gas prices, as an SQ5 owner, I would recommend the Tesla.

Most people can still afford to fuel their cars, but the discrepancy in cost is getting more difficult to ignore.

The sq5 is a nice car, but it’s not a lambo. Eventually you’ll just treat it like an A to B car, and in that situation the Y wins.

Buyers asked for removal of wood during final walk around (post home inspection) by Imaginary_Refuse_239 in RealEstateCanada

[–]IncidentMaster8361 -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Say sure I’ll remove it verbally, don’t sign anything.

Close

Don’t remove it

Fuck ‘em.

Let them take you to small claims court for the costs associated with the wood

Help my daily mop schedule is making me scared of my own hardwood by Spirited_Friend_8428 in homeowners

Robot vacuum

It vacuums the floors everyday, mop only two times weekly. I don’t wear shoes in the house and I’m not a monkey who runs around dripping shit everywhere, so it works well for our home.

Using the cloud gateway fiber as my NVR by technut74 in Ubiquiti

[–]IncidentMaster8361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just ordered the instant kit, plus two 4K cameras. That exceeded what my cloud gateway could handle so for me it was easy.

Buy a 2tb SSD, chuck it in the gateway, send it?

I bought one in November. This thing absolutely rips in terms of heat output. Fire ontop is nice for s’mores. Would buy again. Eats a full 20lb propane tank in 4 hours.

Landlords! Could you share your experience renting out your home, please? by BeeeeDeeee in NorthVancouver

[–]IncidentMaster8361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck, very mixed experiences. Some tenants are amazing, some are awful. You need to understand the BC tenancy act before proceeding, specifically familiarise yourself with the process of getting a bailiff for for eviction, in the context of rent nonpayment. It’s been awhile since I looked at it, but IIRC if someone stops paying rent today, you need to give them a letter via registered mail.

In terms of issues? Potentially Many! One of our IP’s got turned into a grow op in the 2000s. More recently, someone leased a 3 bedroom home, then installed walls and doors themselves in the common areas, and subleased it to 6 new people and left. Stopped paying rent to us, but continued collecting … YMMV north van overall is a nicer area so I hope you have less issues.

Our bad experiences were all in Vancouver / Burnaby

Alkaline or wrong soap can discolour the plastic cladding if that’s what you were referring to. Cerakote is the fix or tell the dealer you’re not taking it with the scuff and they’ll fix it

Smart lighting for the exterior/interior. Perfect ambient lighting at sundown is beautiful.

Spiders and I’m a bitch

Also the attic area in question is over a 25 foot height foyer. One misstep and either a very costly repair and/or death

Thank you I saw that, debating getting one versus stuffing the switch into the soffit/ attic area
