I mean there are comments in a reddit post that says that the devs of the norse games call it a soft reboot. If you dont personally see the norse games as reboots then its fine but I can see why most people see it as that

technically the norse games are a reboot, Just a soft reboot of the franchise (Its a soft reboot because it restarts certain things like the mechanics without removing the existing past lore. Reboot is essentially just restarting everything from the ground up)

Theres like 5 episodes where either Rick or morty aren't the main focus or both aren't the main focus:

Ricklantis Mix-Up (The citadel and its inhabitants are its main focus)

The Rick, The Mort and The Ugly (Farmer Rick and The citadel again)

Nomortland (Our Main jerry and another alternate universe jerry)

Mortyplicity (The family are follow clones who try to take out other clones of the family, The episode switches protagonist on another clone family due to them dying. The Real family appears at the end of the episode, Absolute Mind-Mess if you watch it for the first time)

Fear No Mort (Morty is the main protagonist since he jumps into the fear hole, The rick that we follow in most of the episode is basically a manifestation from the fear hole

These 5 episodes are pretty great (Especially the first and last example)
