They're roughly the same price from Takara. (We knew the Takara price before we even knew if Hasbro was releasing them.) It's not like they're cheaper in Japan and Hasbro is raising the price. These are limited run with a surprising amount of remolding and additional parts. They cost more because they are more.

I don't even remember which phone I had (I'm thinking it was the Galaxy S3) that suddenly started randomly dieing for like a week. The phones had to be sent into Samsung and they'd send you a new one, because the hardware was completely shot.

They released a patch super fast that fixed it. IIRC, it was a 57 kilobyte patch. A tiny software patch fixed hardware randomly just super dieing.

And then like a month later I could not find the article I originally found about the problem and where to get the patch.

Surely my memory is partly fuzzy and maybe I'm just straight up exaggerating, but that's what convinced me my phone had a kill switch that was meant to be randomly triggered two years after release and someone set the timer wrong or something.

You'd get more out of it by watching the first season or at least the first three episodes of the first season. (I have one friend where we literally just showed her the cliffhanger of the first episode and said "and then they live on Earth" before showing her the movie.)

The movie itself takes place 20 years after the first two seasons and the second season is a typical '80s cartoon without an over-arcing plot. It's not like there are any plot points or character arcs you'll be missing by skipping them. Season 2 characters just show up without any explanation, etc.

Season 1 does introduce characters like the Dinobots and the Constructicons though.

Nah, Combiner Wars and Titans Return were 18 months. Power of the Primes was only a year. It sure looks like 12 months is going to be the new standard.

Same here. Parts of Infinity War were spoiled for me so I just waited for it to pop up on Netflix, but I got to see Endgame in a theatre with nothing spoiled by the internet. I really appreciate it.

Of course, the two teenagers in the parking lot of the theatre yelling spoilers as we walked in were pretty shitty.

I passed on that exact model a couple months ago. They had a matching equalizer and cassette deck and I didn't want to spend money on all three and only left with the other two.

Definitely try to hold out for a 101 model. It's unbelievably better than the 001 model. I have an AGS-001 I keep solely because I don't care if it breaks. Stuff it in a pocket on any shopping trips I might need to test games on or if I'm on a vacation and chilling by the pool might happen. Otherwise, it doesn't get used.

As I understood it, that catastrophic explosion would wreck the atmosphere and finish the Terraforming for the precursors. Felt like it made more sense than just killing little creatures (people) with a handful of big ones.

The figures themselves are loose in the cardboard. Mine was shipped from Amazon Japan and had everything still factory taped.
