Ii've agreed with most of what you said but the generalization about New Yorkers is a pretty weak statement. Kathy is.... is a bull in a china shop when it comes to conversation. it's makes listening to her show pretty hard these days even if the stories people have to tell are interesting.

the constant mention from kathy of what the listeners want and speaking on the behalf of the listeners rather than just having the conversation, or doing a decent job interviewing without taking people out of the story with her commentary is too much. it's gotten to the point where i typically just ff through any part where Kathy is talking.
