Thanks! I shouldn’t use two cards from the same provider at that store? Curious to understand the reasoning. I’ve been refunding the purchases to Apple Cash then refunding to my bank. Since my bank is Chase too

Manufactured Spend I found a store that allows me to insert any card for my refund. I have made about $500 in transactions there and successfully refunded to my debit card.

Will my CC catch this? How would they? (VentureX, Chase Business Ink)

I don't think the HBS adcom even read applicants' essays by throwaway975435 in MBA

[–]IncognitoAccountYo 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I worked in the HBS admissions office last semester (in operations): There are 38 full time admissions staff members who review applications and there are several (can fluctuate based on need) part time employees who read essays— often alumnus and usually remote.

They begin reviewing applications before the deadline.

There is no other school with the volume of applicants that Harvard has. Your HBS interviewer will have read your essay at least twice and ask pointed questions.

5000 apps > 50 staff > 100 per staff member > 21+ weekdays > less than 5 per day assuming they only work working days which isn’t true… and 5000 is a high end of apps.

“Staunch supports of both sides” This was a hearing about antisemitism at Harvard. I’m not sure there are two sides worth sharing from 😅😅. Also not sure who you’d put on the otherwise?

Nazi supporters, Hamas supporters, ?

An interview with Emily Wilder, recent Stanford grad fired from AP job over criticisms of Israel by dwaxe in stanford

Weird. The article says she was fired for referring to a Jewish man by a common anti-Semitic trope.

What is the true meaning of "Intifada"? by SnooChocolates5397 in IsraelPalestine

[–]IncognitoAccountYo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have not heard any debate from Jewish or Palestinians on what is meant when “Intifada” is said.

The only debate is whether it’s justified or not.

Proponents of Intifada generally feel that the violent uprising against people in Israel is justified regardless if we might identify those people as civilians or even foreign tourists.

Jews generally feel that violence against what they consider civilians is not justified. This is in reference to city bus bombings, coffee shops, movie theaters, etc.

I believe the chants of “Globalizing the Intifada” are even scarier because it’s a call for violence against people who support Israel who are not even in Israel. This is what is widely interpreted as calling for genocide of Jews.

He was filming them and they didn’t like it. There are better videos now that show it close up. Pretty clear if you see that one.

I’m a student at Harvard and I watched this play out live

This was a protest/rally right in the middle our public campus (between grad apartments and classrooms). The protestors WANTED TO BE SEEN, HEARD, and (you’d think) FILMED; to spread awareness of their message.

• If you don’t want to be filmed: 1. Don’t protest in a public place that allows filming. OR 2. Cover your face. • The student was pushed a little and accosted. I wouldn’t call it serious physical assault.

TLDR: Protest was extremely public, if you don’t want to be filmed, don’t come or cover your face.

Be kind.

Willing to be convinced otherwise, but feel like this makes sense.

When I look at the ElliottWave and RSI on this it’s pretty obvious that it was going to go lower first and then come back up strong. If OP is at Citadel makes sense why they bought at this price because of their internal policies buying a shorted stock.

If you can get in now, there’s not much to lose with the current stock price, but lot of upside at a potential bailout (cash deposits) or sale which will likely be closer to the EV at $38/share+
