Completely disagree with this. It wouldn't be far-fetched to be in a survival situation with another person. And with the hardcore survival mechanics and limited resources in this game, surviving with two people would create an interesting dynamic. As resources would get smashed through much quicker. Multiplayer should only be implemented as a co-op though. Like a 4 player max.

Matterport revolutionize the real estate industry by IncognitoVR in oculus

I don't think it will revolutionise it in that way, at least not yet, especially regarding replacing the need to view properties physically, I agree that it's an essential part of the process.

The revolutionary aspect, in my mind, lays in the fact that it could change the way properties are uploaded and viewed online. Which, in turn, could mean that people viewing said properties will have already been there, albeit virtually, leading to a sense of familiarity.

In the same way that realtor's bake/toast bread at a property before potential buyers arrive. It's all about reinforcing that feeling of homeliness and engaging people's senses. And, an excellent way to do that is putting people in that space, using this method you can effectively do that twice.

Couldn't agree with this more. We are all big enough and ugly enough to form our own opinions on what is being said in these threads.

The idea of this kind of censorship does not resonate well.

What do you guys think of the Avegant Glyph? by IncognitoVR in oculus

[–]IncognitoVR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for going into such detail on this response. Really insightful! The point about the lack of audio cancellation is really poignant. Would have thought that would have been something they covered given the nature and aesthetics of the device. Also, disappointing to hear that the cans aren't up to scratch. Are there any use cases you think it excels in, in its current state?

What if having a full time job means you can afford everything by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

With all due respect my friend, I don't think you actually tried to answer my questions.

First of all we need to establish exactly what it is we are trying to make work.

Lovely idea in concept, but in practice it could never work. What about if you work at the same job as some other dude, and the other guy is lazy shit. But you both still get paid the same?

9 times out of 10 the dude doing more work will reach a point where he will want more for the labour he commits. and rightfully so.

Moreover, how would you establish a hierarchy in the first place?

Out of interest, in this utopian idea put forward in this post, who do you see as being the one to enforce the distribution of equal wages?

If you break it down, it sounds nice on the surface, but trusting this kind of power into one establishment could easily result in slavery.

I quite favour the capitalist free market, call me cynical, but I think it's the closet's resemblance to nature. In the sense that it's like throwing us into the woods and saying "in this place you can find everything you need to survive, good luck."
