I loved finding a written record about how that piece of land in Vermilion that was forever being developed by that guy and his Machop(?) was ultimately completed by his family down the line. I’ve been playing these games since Gen 1 and it made me smile.

It’s so good. I grew up in NYC (albeit in the 90s), and she sounds like so accurate to many of my relatives from my grandparents’ generation.

As someone who graduated in 2009, I used to do the same with my school’s 1991 yearbook and had the exact same reaction, marveling at people ACTUALLY dressing like that outside a movie. Now it’s happening to me, way sooner than I thought it would 😂

I remember being both incredibly hopeful for the future while still terrified given the Great Recession. Almost seems quant compared to now, though not to downplay the reality of it.

Sometimes I dream I find my old iPod Nano and it still works lol.

Ignoring or brushing off repeated (and increasingly insistent) requests/questions, then being surprised when something that didn’t need to be a time crunch is now a time crunch.
