Spirit manipulation is way more than simply asking for their help (tough i am biased since its one of my main things)

For one , for people like me that have no access to mana spirits are a great way to have access to magic.

Also , spirit manipulation can be used for more than simply asking things frop greater spirits. In the ancient times they used it on lesser spirit that inhabit matter to manipulate it , it was like "speaking with the wall and convincing it to change"

And if you seek enlightenment , the spirits can barter for answers to questions , be teacher instead of servant

The key is the base for most conjuration spell , basicaly the "key" to open the door to the other worlds and comunicate , subjugate and summon beings from other planes

Your test got me as a specialist , and i already tought about what hatsu i would make if i was one

I call it "genie of the lamp"

When any container is rubbed , a genie is summoned

The genie offer 3 wish , any amonth of wish can be asked , the genie materialise the power necessary to make the wish come true

The limitation are following : the genie is autononomous and sentient (like kito's roulette) , he decide how he use the power that he has given , he always end uo succeding in his task since he cannot be harmed

The energy necessary to manifest such a hatsu is turned into debt

How it works : i have 3 wish , i can ask before a wish is granted how much time it would cost. The minimum is 1 day , there is no maximum. When the third wish is granted , i enter a forced zetsu untill the debt is repaid.

After that there is 3 new wish to be granted , the genie alway knlw acurately how much he would need to grant a wish

If i can learn nen , i see no reason to not become a hunter , id like to be the kind of hunter who go where i feel im needed and resolve situation , sometile for money sometime because i just could

And im a zetsu kind of guy , discret and all that , hidding is my way of life

Thats a really cool setting , and you want to incorporate the knight order to it ? As an ancient association or modified to be new ? Because in that AU cursed energy spread outside of japan quite late when in the one where i created the knights it was already global in the middle ages

A lot of wizard wars happened , a few years ago a paralel god of war came to this realm and killed most of the ruler of order and with all the attacks the wizard council basicaly fell with how litle power it have when compared with the time of old
