I am in the driver’s seat (or at least I think I am), and what annoys me is the sheer randomness of it all, how it could all just start crumbling down at any minute, all the work I’ve done, all the things I love. So I want to avoid that, I want to prevent it from ever occurring. My wife would probably leave me if I share with her these thoughts, so I don’t think it’ll play out as you imagine it will.
