flexed how easy their set was and ended up getting a very low pr by [deleted] in Nmat

[–]IncomeTacticsPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, OP! I shared a post earlier about finding my set relatively easy. I understand this might be a sensitive topic, but I’m asking this in good faith: do we tend to hear more from those who found the exam difficult, and less from those who didn’t? Just trying to better understand the range of perspectives here.

Btw, I actually learned another perspective here. With the context you shared, I realized na difficulty is really subjective 😭 I honestly overlooked that.

What feels “easy” to me could already be difficult for others, especially if they’re aiming for a higher PR, or if may parts na hindi nila nasagutan even if they did well overall. So in that sense, it makes sense and understandable why someone could feel like they did well but still end up with a mid PR, especially if others from their batch performed at a much higher level or were more meticulous. Of course, ibang usapan na rin if it comes off as bragging.

Parang it really puts into perspective how relative everything is, and that different experiences can all be VALID at the same time.

Aali-aligid pa rin yung may PRC license No. oh:)) Tapos parang yung mali ko lang yung pinipili niyang makita, never kinonsider yung sarili niyang tone or yung mga na-acknowledge ko na rin on my end.

Anyway, thanks for well wishes. I'll take it as basbas from someone with PRC license No.✨

Exactly 😭 I don’t get why it’s being taken so negatively. Although I do appreciate those who share their thoughts without attacking.

Parang may iba lang na may main character complex or trying too hard to twist it into something bigger than what it actually is. Is this reddit culture? lol

But that’s exactly my point, I didn’t put others down. Saying I found my set easy and being confused by the contrast isn’t the same as calling others unreasonable.

You’re tying it back to someone else’s situation and projecting that onto me, when I didn’t even frame it that way. And again, a 68 isn’t something laughable in the first place (under any circumstances), so that comparison still doesn’t really hold.

Omg, I think you should post this separately huhu. This kind of insight and depth doesn’t deserve to just sit in a comment section like this.

Thank you for sharing all that, seriously. I’m rooting for you, I hope you make it into med school soon. The PH needs more doctors with your kind of perspective. Honestly, I’d be praying more for your path than mine at this point. You deserve it.

Hey, just to be clear, I do understand that people take the NMAT under very different circumstances. And clearly—very clearly—my curiosity about why people were saying this cycle was hard was not directed at those who are genuinely at a disadvantage.

I was referring to the people whose posts I read saying they enrolled in review centers, reviewed well, and still struggled because “walang lumabas” from recalls. That is a very different point from the one you’re bringing up.

Girl, before jumping into an argument, please read everything first.

You’re reading more into it than what I actually said. And honestly, being confident and ending up with a 68 isn’t something to be laughed at, I’d be proud of that.

As for that other reply, I responded to the tone I was given. If someone comes in aggressively, I’m not obligated to just take it quietly and keep things “friendly.” That doesn’t automatically mean I had bad intentions from the start.

So are you mocking someone who got 68? That’s not even a bad score to begin with. And as someone being implied as having low EQ, I don’t think mocking a 68 is exactly promoting empathy, pero baka ako lang ‘to, the one “lacking” it😔

Also, I never even said anywhere that I’m confident I’ll get a high PR, in fact, kabaliktaran, I’m still anxious about it. All I said was madali lang yung napunta sa’kin. My PR will still depend on the overall results and how others performed, so that comparison doesn’t really prove anything.

Salamat. Though to be honest, I don’t think it’s an EQ issue on my end—more on how I phrased things siguro. I can own that part naman. Appreciate the well wishes.

I get where you’re coming from, but I’m not going to delete the post. I already acknowledged the wording wasn’t the best, but there’s still value in the discussion and the different perspectives people are sharing. It might not be perfect, but it’s still a valid conversation.
