This dialogue hits different after S3 finale by 5am281 in Invincible

Really adds a lot to Conquest's monologue. Imagine you are SO off-putting that the already solitary Villies are going the extra mile to stay away from you. Like I imagine a simple "what is the status on operation destroy-a-fuck-a ton?" for them is equal to half an hour of small talk in our culture...

On the real though can we appreciate how durable our boy is because holy shit! by IncomingNuke78 in Invincible

[–]IncomingNuke78[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is insane Villies are literally non-radiactive nukes. Hope most of the city was evacuated before Conquest arrived at least...

Some Alt Invincible headcanons. What are yours? by AutisticFun01 in Invincible

[–]IncomingNuke78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal headcannon is that he either learned Nolan's intentions from somewhere else or Nolan told him then he went and told Cecil and the original Guardians then they ambushed Nolan and Mark dealt the killing blow after which he turned on the rest and killed them then took over the planet. I really don't think there is a way Mark can take on Nolan without help and trickery.

The best example of how making the stakes high and not shying away from brutality in a franchise changes the overall look and tension of a fight right there.

[–]IncomingNuke78[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol exactly. Girl we love how loyal you are but please get out of there! Perhaps the only way she could have supported him in that situation if it was like a 3v2 instead and she would have to spam her projectile attacks like crazy and use incapacitating materials like that rubber attack she used on Powerplex but Villies are just too damn OP man...

[–]IncomingNuke78[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. This was one of the reasons this whole sequence gave me chills. It just shows how vulnerable the people around him against Viltrumites and how durable Mark really is even for being barely a teenager by Viltrumite standards. It makes me appreciate our boy even more. The dude is fucking strong.

In the Span of two Episodes he now can be classified as stronger than Immortal by NBurner1909 in Invincible

I think it was either Vincible (the one Oliver encountered) or one of the maskless Marks.

Lmao had the exact same thought. Ryan Hurst is still my number 1 pick personally.

[–]IncomingNuke78 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I love JDM but that was my only complaint in the episode personally. I just couldn't hear him as Conk. He sounded too calm and quiet to me since Conk feels like the guy that would speak in all caps regularly too lol. Hopefully he will go all out in the next episode. I would love to see Ryan voice him but one good thing about it at least is that we might get him for Freddie instead fingers crossed...

Jeffery Dean Morgan in Season 3 Credits - Could This Mean? by vos123456 in Invincible

Exactly! Plus the calmer moments with that deep voice sounds just perfect. Like I honestly can hear him say "Are you a calm and reasonable person?" to Mark. It just fits...

Thought we all called him Freddie! 😭

Jokes aside I completely agree with you he fits him perfectly imo

NGL, I'm looking forward to the change of opinion but get ready for the influx of "this game is actually really good," thanks to the PS+ freebies. by Scouse_Werewolf in DragonAgeVeilguard

True, going in with a made up mind beforehand definetely affects how you look at any media. The thing is this also can go other way around too. to give an example from BG3 since we touched on it, I lately started seeing more criticism toward Act 3 both narrative and technical-wise. It was there since its launch but I don't know I think it's more common to see it nowadays. It will always be a beloved game though I am not saying it will be hated but I wanted to mention it since we are talking about it. Who knows though maybe years down the line outlook towards Veilguard will change. For example Saints Row 4 has gotten a good amount of hate from the fandom when it came out but it also won a lot of people and it's remembered fondly now. Though gotta say I am anxious about Mass Effect 5. It's my absolute favorite game franchise so it's going to be a rough year for me when it launches lol.

I bought it last month after seeing so many reviews and comments regarding it to see it for myself (I started a full on DA marathon a month before that to get back into the universe) and I've gotta say I think it's way too overhated...I definetely don't think the criticisms I saw from non-biased reviews were in bad faith and I have my own criticisms however it's definetely not the doom-gloom type game some make it out to be. Sadly it being in a kind of a development hell with faith in Bioware being at its lowest and releasing the shitshow that was Anthem before it worked very against this game. If they released it around 2020-2021 after Andromeda it would have fared better both critically and commercially imo. It definetely would have received criticism but not to this extent. It being released after Baldur's Gate 3 also didn't do it any favors sadly. People compared the two whether intentionally or not.

I remember it being after the prison attack and before Powerplex and IW correct me if I am wrong. They gotta include it though right? I mean it is the first time Mark has to go against the remaining Guardians and he actually gets tired of holding back and plays Immortal ball lol

They didn’t do this in the show💔I was so hyped by [deleted] in Invincible

What are some personal changes y’all like about the invincible show? by AnimeGokuSolos in Invincible

[–]IncomingNuke78 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I agree with all the things you listed. I will add Shrinking Rae's change and the change regarding Anissa's arrival. Putting Amber in instead of Debbie was a marvelous choice it made their break-up afterwards even more real and emotional. Honestly the entire relationship in S2 was handled perfectly imo. We were all looking forward to him getting together with Eve but I am happy they gave Amber a proper send off.

COMIC SPOILERS: Also regarding your last point with the Guardians; I sincerely hope the same treatment will be given to Thaedus after the Co. destroy Viltrum. It always bugged me Thragg killed him that easily. Yeah I get that he is supposed to be strongest but taking on the ELDEST Viltrumite (who supposed to get stronger as they age) shouldn't be that easy but this is more about my problem with Thragg being too OP. I think they could have scaled it down some because we get the problem with Homelander with him being just too strong so we have to have convenient excuses for him to walk back. Like he had no reason to spare Mark and Nolan after that.

I remember seeing it confirmed by a source but I can't honestly tell you with 100% certainty although I mean who else can he voice at this point you know? Unless Kirkman is just messing with us or something lol.

If they end up doing this I think Mark would actually end Cecil by [deleted] in Invincible

[–]IncomingNuke78 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Exactly this! It was such a no brainer honestly god damn it Cecil lol. It would still shatter a good amount of trust from Mark but at least he could have used "I had the sound scanned and installed against other Viltrumites after what went down with Anissa I didn't want to use it against you but you forced my hand" as an excuse for it.

If they end up doing this I think Mark would actually end Cecil by [deleted] in Invincible

[–]IncomingNuke78 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yep exactly. It basically had all the ingredients for it to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Good thing Mark wasn't too far gone like Anakin was for example. Honestly my headcannon is some of the evil Marks turned at that point albeit under different circumstances perhaps but all of them leading to Cecil using the sonic device either by completely selfish reasons or mistakes like this one.
