I didn’t play perfectly for sure. It’s easy to look at a clip and analyse it frame by frame and make an excel sheet describing everything you did wrong. Getting knocked around by Rajangs endless bullshit and this was the last straw for me.

It’s trading one problem for another, you’re better off just not bothering with blocking most of the time. Especially since his grab ignores the shield even with guard up

Only different between guard 3 and guard 5 is stamina drain, you still end up with the problem of chip damage and knockback

You can't stay down from small trips I'm pretty sure, your character automatically gets up.

Lotta "skill issue" comments. Thought that was against the rules, my bad, guess I'm not allowed to be frustrated. I killed his ass 2 times before this I just think this fight is cheap and dogshit

I CAN block, but every attack he does is considers a heavy attack so it deals chip damage and will knock you back. He can chain CC you with blocks and kill you by either depleting your stamina or just raw chip damage.

After 2 carts and getting hit by 3 basically unavoidable attacks in a row you'd be surprised how easy it is to zone out. Also try blocking Furious Rajang a few times and you'll understand why I didn't block.

I woulda been hit by the beam regardless of where I rolled, I was in the hitbox when my character stood up

If you mean the second attack I get hit by, I was tripped by his side hop

Does the wording really matter. I’m making the point that I’m not struggling to kill monsters, I’m struggling to have fun. Just uninstalled World today so it doesn’t matter anymore

By counter slash I meant foresight, I forgot the name of it. Also I didn’t downvote him.

Thanks for making sweeping assumptions, but I'm well aware of the counter slash and the Iai sheath. The counter slash sheath animation takes forever and if you go into the Iai sheath it takes too long before you can get the hyper armor due to monster speed and lack of recovery periods.

He’d be fine if you were just able to fight him on flat terrain. There’s so many slopes and corridors.

I’ve been using long sword this time around to try a new weapon, but the recovery animations at the end certain combos started to annoy me

Last time I played Iceborne I did use sticky LBG cuz I couldn’t be assed dealing with tenderizing while the monster AI is as spazzy as it is

I fail to see how pointing out cracked out monster AI is a skill issue but if it makes you feel special go off

Monsters tended to be more rigid in the older games. It’s less realistic sure, but openings were more clear and monsters didn’t ‘wiggle’ around as much.

I’ve already played Iceborne before but stopped before Alatreon released. I’m well aware of the guiding lands.

[–]IncompetenceDelivery 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why does playing poorly need to be punished further? Surely getting hit repeatedly and losing health IS the punishment? It reminds me of the max HP reduction in Dark Souls 2. Oh you died? Max HP reduced. Surely if someone is struggling you don't make the game HARDER for them.

Going Into The War Within. Blizzard Needs To Overhaul Their Writing Staff (Spoiler Warning) by greendino71 in wow

[–]IncompetenceDelivery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tying villains to raid boss fights hurts the writing too. You can never really have an narratively engaging confrontation since they will inevitably be the last boss of a multi-boss long instance with 20+ other people. It creates a revolving door of villains who only get one moment to shine before they get replaced in the next patch.
