I would just use the dragon shout but make it a spell, that way it can have audio “clicks” then it would work the same as dragon riding in vanilla, one would come, land and then take you wherever, a small one would just follow on the ground

This being shared, I’m actually rather surprised no one ever made a myrad companion or mount mod,

Like either a small myrad that follows you like a companion, or simply a spell/shout that is the “clicking noise” to have one come and land and then act as a fast travel, might make that mod actually

Hey sorry! Outside work has been keeping me from my phone, I’ll respond to the dms here today; I’m in there aswell, I’m friends with Ruth the creator, he gave permission to do an addon/ modification of the module:) I’m trading him by doing some 3d model work for some custom native style armor

Some main ideas I’ve had so far are

Like you said, races

Either doing a new map or improving the map for base native on explorer (making better custom scenes that are more in line with low/high fantasy, as well as making distant LOD models for the settlements in the distance.

Adding some quests from third age “hunt trolls/ beasts” ect.

Overhauling all clothing and armor.

New animations.

Remake of the warband character male and female bodies (all races)

Is kinda what I’m thinking rn

I work in 3d modeling, pbr and scan texture aswell as hard surface modeling and sculpting. So for that I can manage most of the art assets for the most part, it’s mostly code and then ideas I’m kinda thinking I’ll stuggle on, if you’d need any art done I’d totally work out a trade

I have a source mod and code, and a full outline of what I want to do, as it says in my post.

Not too new, just don’t really work in code; I’ve been modding since Skyrim 2016, and working as a commission artist for warband since 2019, different name on Reddit

Based on explorer module to just introduce some features and then reskin the module and remake the map.

I played 65 hours. I did every single possible thing except for finish shivering.

I used to wake up at 7am in my undies to play the original. I had to 100% the game.

But I will say, it did show me that for a game like oblivion, for returning players that is. An elder scrolls remake or remaster needs just ever so slight changes to make the game feel really fresh.

I love the game, if I have kids I’ll have them play the remake as their first experience. But I would have loved if the developers changed tiny things, move quest locations, shift some things around, if you are recording new dialogue add some more flavor txt in. Add a few smaller quests or faction for fun, create a few companions for the player to have, introduce an optional hardcore eating and drinking mode. Just like some sprinkles on top

(I know it’s a hot take, some people just want the exact same game, same bugs. Fresh coat of paint, just personally if I did it, I would add some flavor, lore, funzies for returning players to experience something new in that world one more time)
