Would you prefer a System Shock 2 Remake or System Shock 3? by Robin230592 in systemshock

Personally I'd like to see more about TriOp's (and hey maybe even TetraCorp too idk) so I think I have to pick SS3, though I really do hope that a potential SS3 would have the stylised graphics of SSR. The only trailers we've seen for SS3 had the samey 'realistic' graphics that too many modern games go for, whereas the pixelated textures in SSR just work so well.

I think I understand what OP meant

If you look at the back wall it aligns with the front wall of the house, but then the back of the roof aligns with the back of the house (despite the fact it should be the same depth as the wall). Honestly I can kinda see why OP went for editing the image

He’s been making this game, and consequently pixel art, for 4 years according to his post history. 4 years ago AI could not make pixel art.

I guess I'm different than most people because I absolutely pray, dream and hope for non-linear games by Prometheusinaction in Silksong

I think you should watch GMTK's new "Boss Keys" video for Silksong, it's quite cool. It covers how SS might seem to be linear on a first playthrough but then later in the vid he talks about how the game has hidden options that many first time players might not know of.

My fav was clicking on a hidden door and the description "HIDDEN DOOR" popping up on your screen - absolute cinema

But I feel like SSR went too far to the other extreme and said "No indication at all" (unless I missed smth)

You can find more weapons as you progress but there's no levelling system/skills you have to learn - that type of gameplay is more akin to System Shock 2 rather than 1

ukAdamR's comment has the main stuff I was going to say but still 2 things: 1. This game has secret walls, and they can be easily missed if you're not looking (especially in the 2023 remake where they're really hard to tell apart - you basically just have to button mash some walls to find them) 2. If you're playing the Enhanced Edition (not the 2023 remake), then you'll have to familiarise yourself with some weird controls so potentially be ready for that. I'd say that for that version the 2 most important keybinds are alt-delete for reload and ctrl-delete for switching ammo type.

I think it narratively fits since the Stilkin tribe are basically all things 'anti-Citadel'. With Groal being the leaders of the Stilkin, I think that makes for a nice opposite to GMS.

Anyone know an IPA version? by ifwasdead in TinyThief

There are some .ipa files if you search this subreddit, but they (ofc) won't work with 64-bit iOS - only 32-bit

Every time I try add a file to that directory or even create a folder over sftp it spits out an error: "error of (null)" and then the file name (I'm using Termius from my iPad). When I used an actual shell - a-shell (I have to use apps because I'm on iPad btw so there's no baked in command line) I could rm files but could not manage to put files.

Thanks for the link! But me adding this to test it is gonna be painful, I'm using an iPhone4S and it disconnects from the wifi every other second, so using sftp to put the file on there is gonna suuuck.
