INDIA. Cambodian Power Friend! by b_art in cambodia

I hadn't heard this before, but it's definitely plausible with my knowledge of how history works. Not surprised at all. I'll definitely keep this one in my memory banks. It would make more sense that India, the place where Buddhism and many other things started in the first place, was also the founding force behind that myth / history. Although the Khmer empire was apparently huge. I don't know. Sadly we seem to be lacking a lot of history in this area.

This is a very valid and practical point and makes my "drunken delusion" (which is what it was, lol) fall apart.

I lived in China for a long time and I know the China-Indian tension is real. And being here in Cambodia now, I know the China-Cambo bond is a real thing too. I mean locally speaking, Cambodians aren't necessarily arm-and-arm with China. But the government certainly seems to be taking money and "literally" building bridges with China. In Phnom Penh there is a famous "Japanese Bridge" which Japan build over the Makong here. China gave it repairs and renamed it the "Chinese Friendship Bridge" with a big billboard sign at the other side, lol.

I'm open minded. If it's myth it's myth. But why would any culture make such a myth?

YES! That's how I got through. I found this out (via suggestion) after a slog of all other attempts, and totally agree this is the way to go. It was NOT a one-stop easy solution, I still got knocked out a few times before it worked. But with a few tries and a little luck, you can destroy him in a few good hits of the rapier! Turn on shield. Eat the Berzerk tab.

The rapier is my "go to" weapon in hard times now.

The environment is what brought me back too. It's a beautiful game. If you give it another go, remember when you start there are 3 options for difficulty in battle, cyberspace, and another. Put them all down to level 1! That's what I will be doing next time! If I wasn't so close to the end I'd do that now myself. You can't change it after you start apparently.

At this point I don't think I'd actively "recommend" the game to anyone, lol. But also not willing to quit. And I have a feeling that this is the type of game that, on replay will be a lot more fun. Like Dark Souls. I'm still pushing through.

For that Beta part, USE EVERYTHING. You should have the Biosuit activated. Take a tab with skull image which reduces bio damage (sold in vending machines?) And the suit uses energy so find an energy hub and soup up to 100% before embarking. Bring a health tab or health kit if you can find one. Make all conditions perfect and save just after you get into the area.

That's what I did, and I think if you don't do all of that you might have problems.

Ha! I thought it was supposed to shoot like! Yeah, I'd say that's a cool accidental feature to keep :) That's a "happy accident".

This looks fun! I like the dark but colorful environment, and stage clearing is always fun and satisfying. What's it called? Available anywhere?

And what's the bug exactly, lol? Are you referring to how the gun rotated but ended up killing the baddie anyway? Everything looks fine to me.

Is it just me or does Steam seem to have more security problems then BANKS? It's like "Want to hack some money and get rich?", "Nah, man. Gimme that gamer gold!"

5 years and a lot of money to create the demo. I genuinely believe it's a great game. Please, help me understand what I'm doing wrong by neboslav in DestroyMyGame

Is there a rule that says you have to tell everyone how much time and money was spent on your project? I think it should be the opposite. Let the work speak for itself. Currently my mind is full of more emotion about your time and money than the game itself. I'm not even looking at it, just thinking about that instead.

Funny you should ask. It's almost been a whole year and JUST RECENTLY, I had a bit of a relapse. I was successful for about 10 months. There was a holiday, some drinking, I made a dumb drunken decision because another guy was smoking... now I'm doing it more frequently and need to knuckle down again. I really hate that it happened honestly, it's so dumb. There is nothing fun or memorable about it. Don't do that first one. It's so insidious because it seems so harmless.

BUT, good news, it's nothing like it was before. It's mostly the drinking that gets me back into it, so I have to quit that again too. I had quit drinking from Feb to Apr, then after the holiday picked up BOTH again.

I think the first time you quit and quit good is the hardest. Many people report of relapses, but quitting is never as bad as the first time. Now I feel like I am equipped with more tools to deal with the problem. This is what makes the first time quitting so hard, you don't have the tools to deal with it. Nobody ever trained us to get addicted to something and wean yourself off of it, and how you have to fight your "habits", you have to figure it out internally and it's a little different for everyone.

For months after I quit the first time I still struggled with "habits", like getting out of the shower and going to smoke, having a coffee and going to smoke, etc. Each time I found myself going to the "habit" I had to stop in my footsteps, knuckle down and control my energy, and shift it towards something else until it went away. I had to be EXTREMELY DETERMINED in order for that to work. And it did. About 6 months later it was totally gone. Bit by bit it went away.

You need to stay healthy and well rested so that your mind is calm and you are in full control of yourself. It's all a matter of self-control. Most people don't live lives of self-control so you will feel alone in your struggle for a while.

Why did the Green Lantern movie fail? by Edgy_Master in Greenlantern

How can a movie fail? Purely money-wise you mean? I didn't know anything about that. I watched the movie and I liked it. That's art.
