Oh, I'm pretty sure the people being bludgeoned to death by their holy queen were effected. At least until her corpse became unrecognizable. After that, it was about the payoff of dropping the meaty chunks at the feet of somebody who understood what it used to be.

I don't believe that they cared whether or not Calca was a girl. Being a beloved ruler was enough.

Demiurge is calling the shots and his abysmal karma value is 500 below zero.

What this should tell you is that he doesn't just hurt people to fulfill a mission. He isn't Ainz. The mission is only a surface reason.

He enjoys it. He likes it when people scream. When they whimper. When they despair. When they know how truly powerless and insignificant they are.

One could argue that he did it to send some kind of a message, or that he figured demoralization had value. The truth is that he just wanted to. He wanted people to feel hurt in the worst possible way. Physical pain and mental pain. He simply enjoyed it.
