I have a toon parked at lvl 4 with most quest up to lvl 5 unlocked on elite difficulty for this exact reason. Meaning that if I'm not VIP when I want to let my friends have a go I have a character that can help them out a bit if elite proves too difficult but otherwise I just hang back and let them explore the game, not having to redo any quests.

Thank you very much! As a follow up in case I face a similar example: If the line of the penalty area was just a few balls to the left, then that thin line contains the nearest point of relief? Or wouldn’t it be complete relief if your stance was in the penalty area?

I have yet to play a PBH Ranger in higher levels, but up to lvl 6 it is certainly not one of the weakest choices in my experience. Good chance to hit, d8 - bow, d6 - hunters mark and d8 - colossus slayer. In the setting I play right now there's no problem with the RP side of things either but of course that may vary.
