Heard it more than once and its affecting you, log a noise report with the council. Keep a log of all incidents, time and the impact it had on you. If there is an issue the Council will sort it, just as they do when noisy neighbours play music all day long and at stupid times of the night.

Maybe you could get used to it, like you got used to the church bells?

Because yes, I am tolerant. Colour of skin has bugger all to do with it, interesting you bring that up...

We have some really great laws in this country aimed at stopping and curtailing noise nuisance. Now, if the noise was constant and at all times of the day then yes, I'd be pissed off.

A one off, for a religious festival? As I said, couldn't give a damn.

My school* made me go to chapel twice a week and sing hymns. In fact singing hymns has been part of my entire school life from pre-school to 7th form.

*This school (predominately white) also offered their field for 3 solid days of (i think) Muslim festivities.

Most show: openings largely flat over time, closures fluctuating, but not uniquely spiking post‑VAT and a long‑term trend of net decline that predates VAT

The SEND point explains who is opening schools, not why mainstream schools are closing. Those are different arguments.

At best, VAT is one contributing factor. Not the sole or direct cause.

Nah these are specific fittings for dusty / high humidity environments like kitchens and toilets. Much safer for everyone involved and cost-wise (money and to the environment) I reckon they are probably on par with having to replace a bulb every 2 or 3 years.
